good price, reliable and fast speed, didn't get hot on me yet
Maybe too soon to say it is all good, but got this because it was the cheapest 2TB SSD drive I found on amazon that had a good reputation. I use this with an external docking stage, so does not get hot at all since it sticks out and does air flows on it. I have not had any data loss with it. It is good quality, my Mac was able to detect it very easy and was 100% compatible with it. In comparison to regular SATA drives, this for sure has a much higher and faster response time, and files copy rather fast to it, no complaints. I mainly use it for backup purposes not as a working drive, so thus far works very reliability and if holds up in a few months I'll probably get another one.

Good value for the price.
Got 4 mini pc that were going to e-waste bin, decided to rescue them, all had 16GB storage and where 2240 size. These or the type that were compatible. They fit and work great. Speeds are great, design quality is very good, they produce very little heat, and the mini pc computer recognized the device on first boot, so I bought 4 and have no has any issues

Works with my old EliteBook 840 G1
I received the drive a day later than originally expected, but given all the weather event, pandemic, and o on, it wasn't a terrible hardship. The drive was easy to install but the notches in the part where you plug it into the computer were a little misleading. My laptop only has one notch in the socket but the drive has two. I'm not sure what is gong on there, but it seems to be fine. One thing did cause some minor frustration with this purchase. When you install the card, you have to use a small screw to hold it down against the computer's circuit board. However, the drive doesn't come with the screw an there wasn't one on the existing board. I was able to get a screw that works from my grandson but he had to take it from an old computer that he had in his closet. This could have been easily solved by including a screw in the package. The other thing that might be of interest to potential buyers is that when I first added the drive to my computer it didn't show up in the File Explorer window or device manager at all. I was able to do a Google search that explained that you have to initialize the drive first, using the Disk Manager that comes with Windows. I suppose you could argue that I should "just know how to do it", but a simple paragraph would have saved some poking around.Neither of these things was a deal-killer. once I initialized the drive I found that it's as fast as you would expect an SSD to be, which is to say it's really fast. If either of the above items had been addressed I would have given this item a 5 star rating instead of 4 stars. Now that you have read this review you can give it a 5 star rating since you know the two things about it that I didn't!

This product ended a series of purchases & sad returns of of 3 other higher cost Competitors
When I purchased my Geekom mini pc, I decided to upgrade every upgradable Part which was basically memory and storage. Memory was easy going from already great 32GB to 64GB. My XT12Pro came with 2 M.2 Hard drives, 1-1TB NVMe with Windows 11Pro which I cloned to a 2TB NVMe and That's where the trouble started. I went through 3 So-called M.2 SATA 1TB drives, none of which worked and would not even boot to Windows, Was about to give up when I found KingSpecs M.2 SATA on Amazon. Plugged it in, a litle blue light came on to let me know it was working and BAM! Windows read and installed it immediately. A totally outstanding product. Thank you KingSpec & thank you Amazon for making this produt available.

KingSpec's Warranty is Worthless
The item died after three months. I have attempted to get a replacement or refund from KingSpec under the warranty for the last two months. They respond when the warranty request is sent from the Amazon web page with a email demanding documentation of the sale. When you respond to their email they do not answer. When contacted again from the Amazon (you cannot transmit the documentation directly from the Amazon web page) they state, in another email, that your email was not received. After going through this circle several times I sent the requested information to KingSpec from three different email accounts using three different unrelated email servers. They continue to ignore my response. Due to the time laps since the purchase, Amazon has refused to use their leverage with the company to force them to honor the warranty. So, I guess I am out the $200+ on this purchase since KingSpec is a dishonorable company and Amazon is unwilling to deal with their disreputable vendor.
