Love it!
Love it!!! Very easy to use and safe. The best for cooking soups, chili... Don't have to worry about simmer step. Save a lot of time and money. Thinking about buying a smaller size pot for smaller portions.

NOT Stainless steel as advertised. It's a 20+ yrs OLD technology of ALUMINIUM pot with steel bottom
This Thermal cooker is just well built as the OLD Tiger that I used to have. One thing I did not expect is the OLD TECHNOLOGY that Thermal is keeping. This inner pot is ALUMINIUM with a stainless steel clade bottom. the two metals have different heat coefficient rate. I ruined my 15 years old Tiger because I used it on my Induction cook top & finally the bottom was separated. I returned this Thermal to the seller & get a refund. I ended up buying a cheap 7 litre full stainless steel Narita. I cooked a soup within 8 mins on high. The only downside is the temperature retention. The cheap one is far from perfect.I trust if Thermos should wake up to the 21 century, they should upgrade the inner pot. For me this is the end of my quest for famous brand names. Aluminium is good for gas cooking; but is a WASTE of energy the efficient INDUCTION cook top.

If you need to feed a family, this is the one to buy!
PROS: This is the biggest passive cooker I could find. It works great and wow does it save you from overheating the kitchen. If you live where it's warm or the kitchen is just getting too darn hot, you gotta try cooking food this way! Save energy for cooking, cooling your home, and much less work to prepare. We use it to cook soups and veggies that we would normally steam.CONS: Only complaint is the lid fitment seems sloppy/loose but does NOT affect performance at all so more of a "MEH" than a "ARGH". Overall one of the best cooking investments I have ever made. Saves money all the way around. If single, look at a 3.5-4.5L, this big boy clocks in at 8.0L and for a family it is perfect.UPDATE: after several months of use, I can say it is fantastic and we use it all the time. Eco friendly bigtime and saves a LOT of energy (electric or gas) since you only have to heat the food up to a boil and then put it in the insulated container to finish the cooking without need for fuel of any kind. Absolutely great tool in the kitchen and is perfect for single people who want a cooked meal when they get home.

Think Crock Pot
Extremely happy with cooker. Delivered quickly and arrived in excellent shape. This size is really for large group cooking...great for camp outs or off the grid. If you have a heat source to boil water you can cook with this. I made up my own recipe with fresh chicken, onion, garlic, celery, rice, noodles, macaroni, carrots, rutabega, mushrooms, bouillon cube, various spices, water and salt and pepper. I just cleaned out the fridgeThe only negative is that I have not found a lot of usable recipes to follow that work for my family....not a problem if you are creative and willing to test new made up concoctions. You can follow some regular crock pot recipes....but be willing to adjust and adapt to the cooker.

The lid is loose and did not have a cook book
Pros: it is a good size for a big family. To make the broth, we just need to boil the bones in the inner pot for 20 -30 minutes then put it into the outer pot for over night to have the clear broth the next morning.Cons: the lid of this pot a bit loose, the interface of the lid seems to be broken. It does not have a cook book. I think it was not new one.I have not used yet and requesting a refund or exchange including shipping fee because of the defect and no cookbook or instructions

Great
This is exactly what my wife wanted. We could not find these in stores in the USA, a pressure cooker is more complicated than what she wanted. She now makes all kinds of awesome foods from her home country, using this device. Works great.

Amazing
Amazing product , the meats are cooked tender without using so much gas from a stove.

The lid of this pot is loose, not tight.
The express and goods are all good. Why do I give four stars? Because the lid is a bit loose, the interface of the lid seems to be broken. I wonder if it has ever been bad. But this pot is good for cooking.
