Excellent knife for China blade.
I have several pocket knives. I prefer full tung straight blades... but they're not always acceptable some places. I have an amazing collection of Damascus steel blades, straight and folding... but they're for display/show. I'm not carrying a $200-$500 knife in my pocket. In the service, I finally settled on a Benchmade, which was half serrated. Loved that knife. It was made of Japan ATS-34 steel and held an edge like no other knife.I thought it had been stolen... so last week, I decided to replace it. I ordered the SpyderCo Police model. (Funny thing... I found the Benchmade the day after I ordered. But I'm cool with it. The SpyderCo found a home on my bellyband holster).Looking around I saw the Tenacious. Looked a lot like my Benchmade. Though a straight blade... and the price was spectacular! It was in my cart immediately. I got it the other day. Like my Police model... 2 days later (I'm a night shopper).Dang, these knives are sharp. It'll be in my pocket when one of the others isn't (oh I forgot to mention the other Tenacious half serrated I ordered tonight). My only ding on these, is the close mechanism. Unlike the Benchmade and the Police model that have a push release on the back of the handle... these have a push to the side on the front, next to the blade. I get nervous when my thumb is that close to the blade. But closing any foldng knife... you gotta pay attention. So I won't take points off for that. It's just different.

I have many knives and some very pricey, but I always keep coming back to my Tenacious...
I have many knives (500 or more), and some are very pricey, but the thing is I always keep coming back to my Spyderco Tenacious. What does that say about my collection, knives in general, and more importantly, the Spyderco Tenacious? We could philosophize about it, debate its relevance in the trendy knife world or on childish poser sites spending all their time talking about the safe queens like on Blade For..., but the thing that sticks out in my mind is the comfort level and reliability of this knife. This knife has incredible ergonomics, comes razor sharp, and is just a joy to use. In my opinion, both the handle and the blade are harmonious with one another and perfectly balanced. It's not too light, not too small, not too big, and not too heavy, and it's just downright perfect for getting things done. The versatility of this knife and durability is second to none. I used to think why is the price going up on the cheap line of Spydercos made in China, but with inflation and everything, you're still getting a lot of knife with your purchase here. Gone are the days when you could bag this bad boy for $37.00, but it's still worth it and more at the current price.Frankly, I couldn't care less where this knife was made, because they hit the ball out of the ballpark with this one. This is a timeless classic and a very underappreciated EDC knife that can meet the grade for just about any task you could fathom with a folding knife. I always a hard time saying this about my Spyderco Tenacious for one reason or another, but after all these years as my faithful and loyal companion, I can say it now: I love you man!

Worth every penny and then some
This is a darn good little knife! I saw the good reviews, but had never owned this brand so I was a little skeptical at the price. But, I now use it as my EDC knife and it sharpens easy and keeps an edge for a really long time. It's not fancy, but man is it good. Worth every penny.

Great knife for the price
This is an early review as I've only had it about a month. It's a quality knife, especially for the price. Everything feels solid and the open/close is smooth. Very sharp out of the box.I use it lightly almost every day and the blade is still as sharp as it was day one. So far I'm very happy.***UPDATE 20 Months Later***I'm still carrying this knife daily, though that is about to change (purchased another Spyderco). I still think this is an awesome knife for the price point. It's been very reliable. There is still almost no blade play at all and the open/close is still pretty smooth (I've disassembled and cleaned twice). I've been pretty pleased with the blade. The CR13 takes a razor edge, though it does need re-sharpened somewhat frequently (to be expected at this price). All in all I feel the same way about the knife as I did when I bought it. You'd be hard pressed to find a better option for the price. I've personally come to find it a bit large for EDC so it will be moving to my fishing bag. However I'm sold on the Spyderco brand so I've purchased a Delica for my EDC.
