REALLY Great Easel, fast light and adjustable!
After looking at many, many easels I chose this one finally...and it is perfect! I chose this one mainly because I paint in watercolor and did not want to be limited to my easel being only flat or completely vertical...This one is great because you can adjust it to any position so if you need a 20 or 30 degree angle, you can get it just right. My second consideration was weight as I am using it to paint Plein Air, and this one is nice and light, even comes with a zip up case. So now, I tuck it in my backpack with my paint and off I go! Super light! Alot of my friend have bought cumbersome and heavy french easels and while they struggle, this one sets up in moments! I attach a slide in tray between the legs with a small palette I velcroed on and now I have everything right there! I woluld highly recommend checking this easel out before you buy!

Needs something to hold the legs together
This easel would be perfect because you can use it for watercolor oil or acrylic. It’s very versatile can fit a large canvas or a small canvas. It’s very lightweight and easy to travel with. But it has a major flaw. The back leg does not have any way to keep it in place. So your leg can collapse. You need to be able to hold it in place so that it doesn’t come forward or go backward too far. Many easels have something to keep the legs spread and secure. And this one does not. Maybe you could get some little steaks to put in the ground to tie around each leg. But other than that, it would be perfect, but I’ve had it blow over in the wind because of this reason.

Very well thought out easel. Convenient to use
Bought this for my wife. She does a lot of water color paintings. The price was very good compared to others I looked at. But what really attracted me to this easel was the very easy design of the easel to make all the adjustments for height and for the size of the work pad. No tools needed to adjust anything and you can set it up or down in a spiff. Lightweight of course and has a nice carry case with strap which makes it a breeze for travel. Last but not least, this easel was designed for water color painters. Of course you can use it for other mediums, but for the water colorist the top will lay completely flat if desired so your paint won't run. Nice huh? Everything is very well thought out. One caveat I don't think this easel would do well outdoors in a stiff breeze (very light), calm days probably not a problem.

Easy to lose pieces. Miss the old design.
I bought this same easel in 2015 and use it professionally. When it started having some issues, I returned to buy this easel again because I loved it so much only to find they've made several extremely inconvenient changes. The attachments that support your canvas are no longer permanent when installed. They slide out easily, and the flat screws that hold them in place are very short and easy to lose. Nothing stops you from unscrewing them too far. I used to just click my easel in place and go; the new easel requires more setup and attention, and becomes absolutely unusable if a screw is lost, which doesn't work in a professional setting. I ended up just removing the legs from this one and attaching it to my old easel for convenience. I got lucky that worked, but I have no idea what I'll do if the central component has any defects in the future. It certainly won't be rebuying this one.Editing to add - Easel seems to support less weight than the 2015 version as well. It also broke shortly after I got it. The 2015 version lasted me nearly seven years. Incredibly disappointed.

Not well made
This easel light weight but the leg "clamps" are not tight enough and one leg kept slipping down.Screw clamps would be better. This easel is better for displaying work but not for frequent painting.

Great design! Poor quality leg clips ☹️
The design of this easel is easily ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It's tall, it's sturdy, its easy to use, it tilts, its compact-its everything I want it to be except whatever type of plastic they used for the leg clips are a travesty. They break apart like old plastic thats been in the sun for a decade. Granted, I know I am hard on easels and REALLY use them. When the extention clips on the first one broke I gave them the benefit of the doubt and blamed myself. The second one I bought a leg clip broke just in transit to a location and it was a performance thing so I was really disappointed and had to work with the legs only half extended. If you plan on setting it up in studio and never messing with re-extending the legs, go for it. If you plan on actually using those leg clips, pass until they upgrade them. If they make new reinforced leg clips they'll have a customer for life here.

Love it in spite of it's disadvantages
Although I will not deny I wish it wasn't so complicated to put together, I wish it weighted less(I'm a girl not that strong) and I wish i didn't need to put on and off such small pieces I have to be careful not to lose, I love but really love this easel!!! I can bend it to the angle I need depending if I'm standing or seating, using charchoals or slippery painting that I have to avoid letting it fall away... I mean it can be used like a table or not, and it's steady. That's the advantage of its weight. I use it for oil painting with big canvases since it comes with an extension, and also to support light sketch books adapting the size. In that case, the canvas support is used to hold my pencils.
