As usual a great product fro Rent-A-Coop
I have purchased many items from Rent-A-Coop and have never been disappointed in the quality, design and durability. I was a little unhappy that they have discontinued the wonderful little window decals of the company logo. I have one on all my vehicles and was looking forward to having one for a new pickup truck.Everywhere I go people ask me about the decal and I am able to share my delight with the company. I also get numerous questions about buying eggs, which is a bonus.Be careful of inferior brands, I have been burned.

Perfect for our chicks
Got this set for our 12 chicks and it was great. Easy to fill and keep clean. The adjustable stands were perfect to keep up with the little nuggets as they grew. Stores easily so they’ll be ready for the next batch.

3 week old chickens love it! Helps keep the pen cleaner, chicks fed more evenly, and less waste
Rent a coop food containers are hard to fill because they are so skinny, but I used a canning funnel it was almost the right size. Once full, the containers added ease to our prep, cleaning, and feeding for our three week old chicks. Tall enough to eat from the first height level, multiple height levels will come in handy as the chicks mature. Chicks stopped pecking and tearing up the paper towels and started sharing their food with one another. Less poop in the water and feed because rent a coop feeders and water stations have the option of raised adjustable platforms under the feeders. The feeders and water reservoirs adjust and grow with your chicks!

Chick Feeder
These feeders are great. Easy to open and close and they hold the feed well. I recommend them and I would buy them again.

Great additional feeder and waterer set up
I suddenly had to create a sick ward for a couple hens. Separating my coop into two sections was luckily doable with some effort, but I had to get portable water and feeder containers. These were a great size. They need to sit on top of a wood block or brick to help reduce hens pooping into it. And they can knock the feeder over once its less full. But its so handy to have portable stuff, especially when you need to drench the hens and provide meds daily in the water. Now I'm using them for my pullets and its working well. Needs daily cleaning for the water, but they only hold maybe 1 liter of water, and 2-3 cups of dry food. Could be found cheaper at Lemos...but if you want it delivered to your door...these work great.

Ok, but..
This set includes a feeder and a waterer. I'll review them separately.Feeder:Pros:Easy to fill and easy to assemble.Cons:I'm feeding the chicks Purina Start and Grow chick feed. The hole that should let additional food out of the storage container is too small for chick feed. It does not "auto feed". I developed the technique of rotating the feeder back and forth to get the feed to fill the tray from the storage container. That's ok, I guess, but not great. Multiple times per day, I had to do this to keep the feed tray full of chick feed.Waterer:Pros:The size of holes for the chicks to drink from is good.Cons:The "neck" on the water container is so large that when you upright the waterer after filling the container, most of it quickly dumps out . I would upright this very fast to try to minimize the water loss, but in the end, each "refill" only left about 10-15% of the water in the storage container. Perhaps, if the neck of the water container were smaller, like a hummingbird feeder, this would not be an issue. This set is "ok" for very small chicks, but it's really not great.

Good starter set
Good starter set for a limited number of chickens. Pretty small containers, so the waterer requires frequent refills due to frequent emptying of dirty water. I have 8 chickens and I purchased two of these sets. One set in the run, outside the coop, and one inside the coop, just in case the chickens are neglected for a day.Since they're relatively lightweight plastic, pedestals were established and reinforcements were made so the chickens could not pull the feeder off the pedestal, which happened fairly frequently inside the coop. The waterer is OK, and a timeless design, but there are better solutions out there, like gravity-fed bottom mounted - and side mounted - nipples you can screw into buckets. I am trying to move to one of those solutions because I'm so tired of cleaning the waterers. But, this kit is a good starter option.
