Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Top frame comes with picture hooks. I chose to run a thin long screw into a studs. Be careful, one screw hairline fractured top piece. No biggie. The laquer smell was strong. Live in 1000sq foot home, had to ventilate home, laquer was horribly strong in the doorway room, and it filled rest of home over hours. If strong tomorrow, will remove it from house and let it age in screened carport. The beauty and joy seeing the most perfect solution..the fumes headache and strong smell is small price to pay. I did remove the door. Live in manufactured home. It hides my "cave" which everyone sees off my kitchen, you can barely see shadows thru the beads. It conceals the room contents 85% ...the white is off white and not bright and loud. Its a work of art. Definitely buying another. Maybe if you run air or heat the smell might be less. I could not handle the fumes from 2 new ones in a small home. Soon as odor is gone, will order another and will air it outside couple days in screen room. It is beautiful, modern, conceals contents of room, and guests that see it light up and look blown away as they say, "Wow, that is so cool". My cats batting the beads, biting or clawing never happened. They stoop low and crawl under them. They have no interest. They have not been in the room much, the odor is very strong. So I split beads, tied a rope to bunch them, so I could get air into the room. But odor took over living rm and kitchen. House is 2 br, 2 bath. I don't want the strong odor to change your mind, it will pass in few days. But, if you have breathing probs, migraines or sensitivity to chem odors, hang it in place to air it out. Well made, conversation space and a throwback to 70's enhanced with artistic flair of being hand painted. Buy it...you will not regret it!UPDATE - Day 3 had to remove from house and place in screen room for 1 week. Laquer smell absorbed by carpet odor remained strong despite removing beads. Had to deodorize carpet, wipe down door frame with bleach. Week later installed it back in room and NO ODOR. Took a few days after deodorizing carpet ( heavy febreeze broomed into carpet fiber) to get laquer smell out. Took 2 days of deodorizing carpet, and heavy fans.This was shipped from Viet Nam, hand painted birds. I'm guessing humidity and boxing created this issue and packed it damp. Bamboo pieces hollow, trapping odor.Yup, going to buy another, this time it goes outside for at least 5 days to air out.

we have a very old home built back in the late 19th c. as a result our doors are far from the standard sized ones most have today. at some point the original owner removed the door in the attic space. we wanted some sort of divider and having a door custom built was out of the question at the time.i had never seen one of these before coming across by accident here on amazon's site. they really had zero masculine styles for these dividers so went with the 'birds' which are somewhat neutral so to speak. it is well made and very easy to put up. the bamboo pieces are attached at the top to a thin but sturdy piece of wood. we just screwed ours into the top of the doorway. that said before mounting make sure it is level first.the design and materials used are good. i've walked through with furniture, a portable air conditioner, all without moving the strands out of the way first. never once an issue. they never got snagged or damaged. only occasionally will a strand get 'stuck' to one next to it. easy to fix just by reaching over and pulling them apart, no tangling at all.one last little thing. we open the windows at both ends of our attic to allow for air flow so it stays cool. the slight breeze that comes through is just enough to make the strands move in a wave pattern almost giving the birds a 3D look. just a nice little bonus of sorts.these are nice and for the money i believe a great value. if i could change anything it would be for the manufacturer to include more masculine designs so to speak. that was the only thing that had me hesitate ordering this in the first place. but after a few months use i am glad we did get this.

i have been thinking about this for a long time and my only regret is that i didn’t do it sooner. if fills the doorway perfectly and also makes a delightful sound when moved.

They look great. I had to use 2 for a large opening. The only negative is that two strands have already fallen off and I’ve had to fix them.

This exceeded my expectation. Easy to put up and looks really nice.

It looks really good at first. Got alot of compliments on it covering my stairs going up.It doesn't get used too often as I live in the basement.1st month everything was good, but 2 months in and some of the bottom "beads" are cracked out. The metal wire gets exposed behind it and it gets caught on you as you as through. Then it gets tangled after you pass making it look sloppy.The bamboo beads get thinner as it gets to the bottom. They are the ones appearing the crack under its own pressure of the thin bent wire used to attach them to each other. But as I inspect closer alot appear to be cracked a bit along the ends, but the thicker beads are not splintering out.I was unable to reach the seller regarding this issue. I hope it gets resolved as it wasnt the cheapest option out there. But it was definitely the most beautiful.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this item. I've found I've been returning a lot of items these days because of poor workmanship, no matter what the price tag was. But I LOVE birds and loved the look of this beaded curtain so I thought, what the hell, if it's cheap, I'll return it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this curtain! Great quality, very sturdy and very nicely made. And do you know who else loves it? The cat, yup, she loves it.... Guess I'll order a spare, just in case.
