The power cord is about 2' long. The unused portion of the cord can simply be slide into the base of the can opener so it does not lay on the counter top or tangle with other wires. In response to other answers: I am very happy with the product - its easy to use, opens can on first try and is an attractive little appliance.

Q: Does this opener have any plastic parts? most recently I have a hamilton beach opener and the lever that pierces the can is plastic and it broke.

There is a lot of metal. But ours broke when the PLASTIC piece inside that was holding on the metal lever broke! The most important piece of the can opener!

Q: Does you have to hold the can open while it is opening the can or is it well balanced?

You do not have to hold the can while it is being open. Love the opener.

Q: Does this can opener open different size cans?

So far I have used it for soup, various sized vegetable cans & coffee cans and it has worked for all of them (knock on wood) Good Luck

正直使いづらい。海外からなので時間がかかる。待って値のある物なら良いが、現在は場所をとる置物になっている。ハンディタイプの物が価格的にも2つ買える。最初に使ったものも使えなかった。磁石出落ちる。買って残念な品物だった。
