This is what I got it for. I had been covering my grays since my very early 20s and I've decided to stop after 29 years. I have very dark brown/black hair. I got the onyx and I love it. It helps take away all the brassy fade that was happening on the colored hair. As for my new growth/grays it brightens my grays to what I now refer to as my silvers and deepens the black beautifully. Now I'm looking forward to growing it out and no longer dreading the process. I recommend it to anyone.

Q: will this stain my countertops (fake white marble look)?

409 works amazing spraying it on the spot then let it soak or sit a min or 2 then watch as it actually lifts the color or stain & it'll just wipe away it's amazing stuff that 409 cleaner

Q: If you have dark brown hair, will it help the “skunk” look in the dark to gray transition? Know it’s not dye, just want to darken the white grow out.

Yes! Keep in mind that it will not cover it completely because it does not contain ammonia or peroxide like permanent colors, but it will stain and help blend in the gray roots and brown ends!

Q: How well does it work to tone light brown/ dark blond hair?

I have natural dark blonde to light brown hair that was not color treated before use. I used the copper, put it on dry hair, and I usually leave it in for 30min-1hr (depending on how long it’s been since I used it last. I get a subtle, natural-looking copper tone, which shows us most in sunlight, which is exactly what I was looking for. I get lots of compliments, and a lot of feedback that the color shift is noticeable, but natural enough that they doubted whether my hair was always this color and they just hadn’t noticed. It seems to last about 3 shampoos before I start thinking it’s fading out, and I try to use it every other pr every 2 to keep the color consistent. Ive been suing the product about 2 months so far, and I’m really pleased!
