Perfect for Early Swimmers
I have a small 6 year old so sized down for this vest. It fits her perfectly and is just enough buoyancy to keep her afloat as she learns to swim. This is meant to assist the child, so I didn't use it in the ocean or boating, just in the pool with supervision. She loves it and feels safe with it on! The quality is fantastic for the value and the design is also cute.

Good quality life vest
Very nice, I love that it is light weight, and the neck isn’t too tight, my son doesn’t seem to mind wearing it at all. Also love the pattern on it. Great quality for the price, floats well in water.

not bulky. fits great
ordered for my two-year-old granddaughter. very well made fit perfect. it is not a life preserver. as the package and says. it is to be used with supervision. it's perfect for getting in the water with her being right there with her so she can learn how to hold herself up and eventually float. recommended

Packs well
I bought these to pack for a trip. Fit compactly in a suitcase. Worked well. Fit was true to size (I bought 2 different size for different kids). I’m not sure I would trust it for someone who couldn’t swim at all. But worked great for my kid who is still an inexperienced swimmer in deep water

Great for a little help!
This is great for my 6 year old who still isn’t a swimming master, but has started learning the basics. Gives her just enough confidence at the beach and gives me a little extra peace of mind, though we do know it’s not the same as a life vest! Gives her just a bit of added help.

Does Exactly What It's Supposed To
Firstly: This is NOT a lifejacket. Don't get this if you are looking for a lifejacket. This item is fantastic. We had a life jacket for our toddler, but it kept her too high out of the water in the pool. We tried her cousin's puddle jumper (not realizing what it was) and found it better but didn't like how it prevented her arms from moving properly and didn't keep her low enough in the water. So in preparation for her third birthday at grandma's pool, we purchased this. When we put this on and had her get in, she expected it to do all the work and immediately went under. We helped her get her bearings and get used to the arm and leg motions. She's a quick study and loves the water, so it wasn't long before she was navigating around the pool on her own (with an adult in arm's reach, of course).Added bonus: Because this assists with buoyancy rather than fully supports, she's able to go under the water. Which meant that we had some fun counting and then going under together and letting her ride on my back while I swam her across the pool underwater.

Cute and functional swim aid!
Purchased these for a beach trip and they were perfect! Light weight for easy traveling. Did not take much room in our luggage. Kids could put them on and take them off easily. Used on ages 3-5 and all were able to float well in them. They are not intended to use in place of adult supervision. Always be in the pool with your child and work on proper swimming techniques with them.

DO NOT BUY- Unsafe!
I bought this in January for my then 15 month old grandson to wear while we played on the patio by the pool. I bought it just for extra peace of mind even though he had been given a swim survival course in which he was taught to turn over when he fell in the water.Well, it finally happened. A couple of days ago he slipped and fell into the pool with the vest on. The vest inhibited him from turning over. I watched him for 10 or 15 seconds attempt to turn over to Breathe, and then I scooped him up.This is a dangerous vest that can lull you into a false sense of security!
