Very nice boot
Had these over a year now. Hike at least once or twice a week, including winter. They have held up great so far. I have had them submerged up passed the ackle in water multiple times and they have kept my feet dry. They are pretty comfy, fit well, and arent too heavy. Tread is holding up well too.

Xpeti is different, but not better ..yet
The Good:Perfect fit. A size 9 fits exactly.Good insulation, laces are good. Eyelets are good.Waterproof. Hike through wet shallow terrain. Dry and warmThe Bad:Rubber compound is soft..Sole lugs are round (human molars). Cuts around each molar lug are deep. A YouTube shows a lug beig ripped off the sole . Pattern is too deep , round, and they need to be sharper. Xpeti lug teeth are for general hiking, very little climbing . Tread pattern should be square or triangles.Update: I have put on many miles on them hiking, bogs, gravel trails. They are comfortable , waterproof, and tough, but slippery on icy terrain.Overall: Upper boot is A+.Need soles for grip and stiffer compound and you have a winner. $ is close to what you get for Columbia or Vasque. I am surprised by how comfortable they are though.

Great boots, just check the fit
These boots are exactly what I wanted. They are well made with lots of traction and very comfortable. The onlyOnly problem was the website advised to order one size larger. I normally wear a 10 so I ordered a 10 1/2 and they were too big. Sent them back and ordered a size 10. If they don’t fit will write another review but nothing if they fit right. Hoping all goes well as the boots are great. I just got my second pair of these boots and the fit was perfect. As mentioned before they are comfortable however the right boot had a defect with the inside lining folded over just below the ankle causing pain when walking. After checking I saw there was nothing I could short of taking scissors and cutting out the folded lining. I opted to send them back. After two tries I decided to forget getting these boots. Hope you have better luck.

Excellent grip and comfort, awful waterproofing/water resistance
I know reviews can often get confusing between specific products, so I am reviewing the "XPETI Men’s Thermator Mid-Rise Lightweight Hiking Insulated Non-Slip Outdoor Boots".I purchased these boots a few months ago specifically to take with me to Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas in general. We planned to do a great deal of walking and hiking, and we knew the weather would be very rainy, wet and snowy at times. I spent a small amount of time using them around the house and out and and about just to get used to the feel. They did a great job with those "every day" type activities. On to hiking: These boots have outstanding grip and support. I walked over thick and thin ice, slush, rocks, loose dirt and gravel, slippery wet surfaces and asphalt. I absolutely recommend these boots when discussing specifically the support they give your feet and ankles when you need grip. They did everything I needed my boots to do in that regard, and I felt confident stepping and walking on any surface I came across. These boots are also quite warm. I worse some basic hiking socks, some thicker winter socks and just regular socks with them. In temperatures down to about 28-30 degrees F, I never had an issue with the cold (if my feet were dry - more on that below). Good stuff on the insulation. Now, the reason I can only give this three stars. I would actually give these less than three if I didn't really like wearing these for all of the reasons above. The boots I received are in no way, shape or form waterproof. They proved to even barely be water resistant. From walking in dew-covered, ankle high grass to light rain to heavy rain and foot-deep snow, my feet were wet within minutes every single time. This resulted in cold feet. Every single day I wore these while in Montana (except for when everything was completely dry) my feet and socks got wet. I had to stick these directly over heat vents in the RV for hours each night to somewhat dry them out for the next day. If both of my boots just happened to come defective, then so be it. I would accept that as an excuse. If they are not defective, then be wary: These provided very, very poor protection from water. The skin around the boot seemed to do a fine job with water resistance. I can't be sure, but it seems to me that water entered the boot at the point where the rubber meets that skin. Regardless, nothing I did except for literally avoiding water at all costs kept my feet dry. With that said, I actually really do like these boots. They look great, feel great and provide excellent support and grip. I regret my purchase because the primary reason I bought them is for the advertised water proofing.

Awesome boots
Have two pairs and they are awesome; especially for the price (got both on sale). They are very comfortable and warm. Great ankle support also. The sole of the boot does well on ice.
