Simple install and now Auto lights :) 2016 EOS
Really quick and easy install. Took less than 5 minutes for everything. Ran the sensor line into the A-pillar channel on the driver side, back into the side panel tucking it in at the top, zip tied to the panel. Fits fully flush like OEM in my Eos. Works really well. DRL and side markers stay on for 10 seconds after car is locked. Fogs function in On mode or with parking lights by pulling out, just like OEM switch does. Nice, simple and effective upgradeFollowed the sequence below from another review to set the sensor just before dusk:Sensor doesn't have the adjustment knob, but a little trick: If you put the key to the ignition on, with the switch set to off, then Switch it to AUTO, followed by switching it to lights on (2 clicks over), and then back to AUTO. The Switch will Beep and that sets the Auto Sensor for the lights. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS IN THE RIGHT LIGHT CONDITIONS! You want to make sure you set it at like Dusk so the sensor turns the lights on when they actually should come on.

Added automatic headlights, works great
I used this to add automatic headlights to my 2013 Jetta hybrid. Super easy to do. I did end up hot glueing the sensor to the dash, the included sticky stuff wasn't enough.

Nice upgrade to 2016 VW EOS
Installation=========It was an easy replacement for the stock headlight switch on my 2016 VW EOS. I found it easy to thread the light sensor wire up to the corner of the dash. And the connectors fit without issue. The instructions on how to remove and install the knob were simple and worked well.Use===On Auto it works exactly as expected, lights on at night, off during the day. Daytime running lights continue to work as normal. It does support the fog lights. After you turn off the key the bell chimes a couple of times as if indicating you left your headlights on, however it only goes for a couple of seconds and is not a problem. For the price this is a great upgrade. I was surprised the EOS did not come with automatic headlights so very happy to have them after installing the replacement switch.I am very happy with this switch and would buy this product again.

works great
they do exactly as they say they do. i’ve also heard bad things about the us market switch breaking, so this switch seems much better. installation was easy. -1 star because sensor adhesive is weak and sensor is starting to separate, still works though.

Works for Mk1 VW Tiguan
Relatively plug and play for my 5N1 Tiguan. Directions are all in a different language but there is another review with a video that explains the functions (bless that man!) Fit isn’t quite as snug as OEM but there isn’t any rattling or anything.

Factory switch straight from the factory, 90% off vice getting it from the dealership
NO difference to the factory one, installs the same way. for some dumb reason the US model of MK5 VW don't have that option, only on (DRL) or off (on, since DRL). This one gives you the option of adding parking lights, if you approach a security gate and trying to be courteous to the security guard (for example).Comes with light sensor and you can program when it activates by brightness. Look on the Utubes, it will give you the directions of install and how to program it. As this is the factory one, it will give you the parking light option with no programming, just pull the old one out, new one in, plug fits, and you got another lighting option. Fog lights on the other hand need a little more "work" and reprogramming the onboard computer but in theory works with it too (not tested).

Worked perfectly for 2015 Jetta SE with connectivity
I have a 2015 Jetta SE with connectivity and I love the car. Except for one minor nuisance - I have to remember to switch the headlights on and off, and I never had to do this before. Loved this sensor and switch. Looks just as nice as my OEM switch and has the "Auto" feature (the only thing I care about). Now I'm not a car person, I cannot open the side trim panel, etc to install the sensor. The best I could do was remove my switch. So I took the suggestion of some kind Amazon customers (in the Q&A section) and connected the wires from my car to the sensor, covered the sensor with a black tape and put the whole unit inside the dash. Then used the generic switch instead of my OEM switch. Now the "Auto" mode works like always "ON", but… when I exit the car, the lights switch off automatically! Yay!! Exactly what I need.I know if I could install the sensor, I could get true "Auto" headlights, but hey - this is the best I can do. So all I can say is - even if you're mechanically challenged, this switch still works if you want to avoid dead battery issues on account of leaving the lights on. For the more advanced mechanics out there - read the other reviews and you'll know all the other adjustments possible. The quality of this product is awesome and I'm glad I could solve this problem for under $30. Though that makes me think - couldn't VW have included this feature since it costs so less, but causes such a hassle? Grrrr.. :(Here's a helpful You Tube video that shows how to install the whole thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIe7PMVcyMg

Inexpensive, But Defective
"Read" the Chinese-only instructions and even watched a video provided by one of the other reviewers. However, I cannot calibrate the parking lights or the headlights. It DOES activate the headlights but only when it is absolutely pitch black outside. Will have to return because that is of little use. It won't turn them on when it is dark and rainy, nor around dusk. Other MK6 owner know that this is when the gauges dim themselves so I am forced to have to turn the lights on myself so that I can see the other instruments. So much for "set it and forget it."
