Fit perfect

I would not recommend this dryer vent cover. I’ve had it for two months and the center of it is now all black and starting to get black spots all over my clothes. This is a consistent problem I’ve had with every dryer vent cover that I have purchased it was under warranty for three years and it’s replaced four times by the company and now I continue to replace the vent cover about every 2-6 months. The company needs to fix the problem, it’s a bad cover that gets so hot that it gets black and builds up stuff to get your clothes when you’re drying. Come on Speedqueen you can do a better job than this, you’ve been in business for years.

I have a Speed Queen dryer that I purchased new in 2011(Model ADE3LRGS171TW01 / WD 511846). Absolutely love my dryer, but I have had an issue with the perforated vent cover turning black... my guess is the thermostat on my dryer runs a bit hot causing the metal to get hotter than it should and the lint is melting onto the vent cover. When the dryer was still under warranty, the manufacturer sent me a replacement vent cover, but when it happened again after the warranty ran out, I gave up on having a pristine looking vent cover. Instead, I'd remove the existing one and use a wire brush to clean off what I could.When I came across this vent cover on Amazon, I was so excited! Now I can easily replace this whenever I need! The vent cover metal is slightly weaker/thinner metal than the manufacturer's vent cover but it doesn't affect installation or performance. The size is a perfect match. I unscrewed the two screws with a 5/16" ratchet bit, placed the new vent on the opening, and reinstalled the two screws. There are not designated screw holes on the vent cover, but it perfectly aligned with my screw holes. I washed and dried three loads of laundry after installing and had no issues whatsoever.

It was easy to replace, but it is already burning, which is disappointing as it already needs replacement after just six months use

I got this as a replacement for the prior one which could not be cleaned. This fits perfectly and is well made. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Great price and fits perfectly! Don’t think it will last forever (why I gave 4 stars) but it’s a fair price and okay that I need to replace probably once every few years.
