Not for folks with dry skin!
After seeing an ad for the name brand TENS-like sleep aid device and having sleep problems for years, I decided it wouldn’t hurt to research the device. The device makers claim that it works by producing a low frequency (2-3 Hz) pulse, when held in the palm of your hand, “entrains” your brain into a delta wave state (commonly experienced with deep sleep and unconsciousness). I have tried light and sound machines that claim the same effect with limited success. This device is based on a belief that your hands are like a second brain and are tied closely neurologically to your brain. The device has several selectable “power” levels that are absolutely necessary - skin conductivity varies among different people and even day to day in an individual. I have found that if my hands are dry from working outside, even the highest setting cannot be felt. Conversely, lotion or sweaty hands can make even the lowest setting almost painful. I think that is why reviews vary widely among users. So… does it actually work? After using it for almost two months, my experience has been very good. It took about a week of using it to get used to the pulsed electrical stimulation and fiddling around with the power levels (which I have had to vary almost every session due to my hands varying conductivity as will you). Noticed an improvement in getting to sleep and the quality of my sleep after a couple of days use. It has since improved to the point I use it daily now - I take it with me when I travel and the time it ran out of power (I have been getting about 12 to 15 sessions on a charge) I’ve found I can’t sleep well without it.I found several reviews of the name brand device that said they had purchased this device as a second purchase and that it works as well as the name brand and I concur. At the price point I would recommend buying it!

Not a fan of it
My 9 yr old daughter asked me to write a review. She didn’t like how it felt like she was being shocked. I tried it as well and it gave me anxiety due to the intenseness of the shocks. And yes it was on the lowest setting.

Go for it
I bought it for my roommate. But she seems to like it. She said it takes a little to get used to. She had to turn it down to the lowest setting.

Ready to be shocked with pain? It got returned immediately.
The idea is good in premise and there aren’t many other options on the market, however please consider the following:1- There is no proof this device has received 3rd party testing of any sort.2- There are claims that it helps kids or adults to fall asleep however the “buzz” is more like a shock. It seriously was painful to me as an adult. I’d never let my child use this.3- Considering 1 and 2 above this is not a good value as it’s overpriced.I’d consider music, a warm stuffy or alternative. It got returned.

Most solid sleep I've had in months!
I don't know why it works, but it does. The only thing I would change about this is the brightness of the light for the buttons. Like a beacon in a dark room, LOL.But who cares when you have chronic insomnia? You'll try anything. So, I got this little dude and was a total skeptic. I pressed buttons to see what they all did and found the setting that felt right to my hand. I used the left hand. Then I started reading like I always do. Nothing noticeable happened through the 20-minute cycle, so I started over and did it again. The next thing I knew, it was 5 AM. Wait. What?? No frickin' way! Tried it again the next night. I didn't make it through the first cycle and woke up around 3 AM to use the bathroom and then fell right back to sleep. The next night... I don't even remember reading, LOL.In the morning, I walked out to my husband, whose insomnia is worse than mine, and handed it to him without saying anything. He said, "Uh oh!" He thought it was a different kind of device, if you know what I mean, wink, wink. And I said the same thing I said above... "I don't know why it works, but it does," and then explained it. I gave him the instructions so he could read about it. He's geeky that way.He tried it for 3 nights and had a very similar experience. I got up a few days later, and he was alert and watching the news. I said, "Why are you awake?" He said, "Because I slept all night!" He smiled...I'm buying another one so we don't have to share it. I hope you have the same experience!!

Not sure if i will keep it yet
Only had it for two days and i have tried it at bedtime. Right now the product is not working. It had a 20 minute timer which shuts off snd i am still awake. It is easy to hold due to its small features . I will continue to use rest of week if nit i will return the product.

It actually works for me
I am very surprised by this little product. I never believed it would work. But I've been holding it in my left hand every night for a couple of months, and it actually makes me fall asleep way faster than I ever did before. If you concentrate on the little electric pulses in your palm, your mind will calm down and not be thinking all night. It's easy to use and charge. You can adjust the speed and intensity of the pulses in your hand. It only works in your palm. You try and put your fingers on it and it hurts.Disclaimer: I do not know or have any kind of relationship with the seller or the manufacturer. I have never asked for or received any form of compensation in exchange for a positive review. This is just my humble opinion of a product that I purchased for myself which I happen to like, in hopes of helping other buyers.
