very sharp spikes
These spikes are very sharp - I put a warning sign up next to the fence. They will probably bend however if something like a bear attempts to get over the fence. I don't know about the rust resistance since it hasn't rained since I installed them.

Easy to install
Easy to install and has seemed to keep intruders from jumping over my fence which is why I bought them. Great buy. Very sturdy.

Why can't we give zero stars?
I bought these to put on top of my fence in order to keep squirrels away from the bird feeder. I bought one set of them and I saw a squirrel jump over the complete set, so I ordered another set of them. But after putting those up I saw the squirrel walking right over the top stepping between the spikes and getting to the bird feeder easily. It wouldn't be so bad if these weren't so aren't expensive. They do not work for either birds or squirrels because birds are continually standing between the spikes and the squirrels can easily step between the spikes. I would not recommend buying these unless you're using them for decoration and maybe to keep kids from climbing over your fences.

THESE SPIKES ARE SUPER SHARP AND I AM SURE THE RACCOONS WILL NOT GET PAST THESE SPIKES AND IN TO THE ATTIC. I LOVE THEM AND WOULD PURCHASE AGAIN.

Added deterrence as a great price..
These security spikes are sharp - I don't imagine how anything could climb over them. There are a bunch of different ways that you could safely employ these spikes to raise the security posture of your fence. Currently, I am using them as a squirrel deterrent which has worked - for now.The product will come with six sections that are just about 15" each, once they are all lined up together, you get roughly 89 inches of deterrence for a very fair price. They are of high quality and feature a nice matter finish. I would purchase with confidence.My grading scale:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY!4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot.3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised.2 Stars = A little scary, but do your research and it may work out.1 Stars = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.All of my reviews are based on actual use of the product.
