Natural Toothpaste: A Dentist’s Choice for Safe, Effective Oral Care
As a dentist with over 40 years of experience, I’ve evaluated countless dental home care products. Recently, I’ve prioritized safer, natural ingredients for my patients and myself, focusing on what we put into our bodies. Tom’s of Maine Natural Simply White Toothpaste (Sweet Mint) is a standout. Its naturally derived ingredients, like silica for whitening and xylitol for cavity prevention, deliver results without artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. The ADA-approved fluoride strengthens enamel, and the gentle formula suits sensitive teeth. It foams well, tastes refreshing, and leaves teeth clean. I feel confident recommending Tom’s for safe, effective oral care!

“Minty Fresh Adventures with Tom’s of Maine!”
Ahoy, fellow toothpaste enthusiasts! Gather 'round as I spin you a yarn about my recent escapades with Tom’s of Maine Fluoride-Free Antiplaque & Whitening Natural Toothpaste in the delightful Spearmint flavor.1. The Quest for Whiter Teeth: Picture me, standing in front of the bathroom mirror, toothbrush in hand, ready to embark on my daily dental odyssey. Tom’s of Maine, my trusty sidekick, promised to battle plaque like a medieval knight jousting with a dragon. No fluoride? No problem! It’s like brushing with the essence of minty rebellion.2. The Spearmint Symphony: As I squeezed that recyclable tube (because saving the planet is cooler than a polar bear riding a skateboard), the aroma of fresh spearmint enveloped me. It was like a minty hug from Mother Nature herself. I half-expected a tiny forest sprite to pop out and high-five me.3. Surface Stains, Begone! Tom’s of Maine promised to gently whiten my teeth by removing surface stains. So there I was, scrubbing away like a pirate scrubbing barnacles off his ship. Arr, matey! The stains trembled in fear. But did they surrender? Nay, they put up a fight!4. The Eco-Friendly Crusade: Tom’s of Maine isn’t just about teeth; it’s about values. No artificial flavors, sweeteners, or dyes—just pure, unadulterated spearmint goodness. And the recyclable tube? It’s like a tiny eco-warrior shouting, “Reuse me, matey!”5. The Brushing Ritual: Every morning, I’d squeeze out just the right amount (because wasting toothpaste is a cardinal sin) and perform my dental dance. Up, down, left, right—like a choreographed routine at the Toothpaste Olympics. Tom’s of Maine cheered me on silently, like a proud toothpaste parent.6. The Aftermath: Did my teeth sparkle like a disco ball? Well, maybe not, but they definitely felt cleaner than a freshly laundered sock. And my breath? Fresher than a mountain breeze. I strutted around, smiling at random strangers, hoping they’d notice my newfound spearmint swagger. In Conclusion: Tom’s of Maine Fluoride-Free Antiplaque & Whitening Natural Toothpaste isn’t just toothpaste; it’s a minty adventure waiting to happen. So next time you squeeze that tube, imagine yourself on a quest for cleaner teeth, fresher breath, and a greener planet. And remember: “Spearmint conquers all!”Disclaimer: No toothbrushes were harmed during the writing of this review. Tom’s of Maine did not pay me in spearmint leaves or dental floss for this epic tale.

Love this toothpaste. Been using it for years. No fluoride which I believe is not good for us. Just check Crest & Colgate with their deep discounts on toothpaste with fluoride.. Thank you!

The only toothpaste we use
Tom's works great on sensitive teeth. It's made of natural products, tastes just fine, and does a good job on our teeth. We've been using it for years.

Nice alternate non-flouride toothpaste - late 2024 update
If this gets published, then it is an update to my original review in late Dec. 2024.As of 30 Dec 2024, attempting order (2) 2pks of these from Amazon in my last order, over a week ago, they estimated my order taking til between 12/28-12/30 to be delivered.I am aware of the fact that the FDA performed some sort of inspection in the last few months and claimed to have found a harmful bacteria in the water being used at the facility to produce the toothpaste and some orders were given for them to clean up the operation.Nonetheless I went ahead and placed my order, trusting the right thing would be done if there WAS an issue.Instead today I received 2 2pks of the toothpaste whose boxes had all been opened, flap missing one of them, which where then placed into Amazon clear bags. One was sealed (taped?), the other was open on the end. And the tubes of toothpaste were just sticking out of the boxes. No way to be certain they had not been tampered with.I promptly sent for a refund.I wouldn't have minded waiting for new product of an interruption in their production and whatever else may or may not have happened. But I have a problem with receiving product which has clearly been opened and repackaged into clear plastic bags, which weren't even both sealed. When I pay for new stuff I don't want to wonder if anyone has messed with it because the original product package seals have been broken. There is no tamper proofing on the tube of toothpaste itself. So sorry, no, I don't trust that the right thing was done. And I don't appreciate being treated this way.Amazon needs to get it together or you are going to end up going the way of Walmart.----Original reviewI've been using non-flouride toothpaste for a several years now, although this brand is new to me.I used another brand for a number of years but that's pretty much past tense today, not readily available anymore. I was down to my last tube of that, so it was time to find another brand.Tom's Peppermint has a decent flavor and freshens your breath as well, without being sweeter than a toothpaste really needs to be. Never understood why so many brands of toothpaste are so SWEET. This works well and I'm really happy with it so far.The only criticism I have right now is that the product seems to be a little "runny" and ingredients may separate slightly. I say this because I decided to try to shake it up with the cap on and that did seem to make a slight difference in the taste. But, its probably better than just adding something to it to make it thicker.

Great product
Love this brand of toothpaste. Value for money and it leaves my teeth and mouth clean and fresh. They don’t irritate my hums or make my teeth sensitive.
