Light weight
Tan, great color.. Just want I was expecting from Casio. A lot lighterthan my G-Shock. Great instruction book.. Simple to set. Glows in the dark. Light only shows analog. Not to bright so it doesn't litght up the room plenty enough to see the time. If you don't know the day and date by night fall You my never know.. I've never woken up and wondered the date.. Very comfortable fit. It also has a glass crystal. Very Happy. Especially for this price.

5 in looks, 4 at nighttime
I really like this watch so far. I had been looking at the same watch in different colors but when it became available in tan I thought I would pull the trigger.HOW I USE IT: I'm an avid hiker and walker. I want something that's visible, durable, and kind of outdoors-fun. I also enjoy using the digital features.LIKES: The looks are great, the watch has a nice physical and visual texture to it with the bumpy case features and the large minute markers and 12-hour marker. The hands look great too. The band is extremely comfortable. 10 year battery is a big plus, and I have another 10-year battery watch from 9 years ago that is still going strong. The digital features are awesome, considering that you get world time AND tele-memo capabilities AND a timer AND five alarms, along with the normal digital timekeeping calendar and stopwatch features.I sometimes use tele-memo to help me track things, like how many calories I've eaten, how much water I've consumed. You can use shorthand: Drop the vowels frm th wrds. When your brain is a bit slow after hiking up a long incline it can be helpful to have the information you need at a glance.I also use the World Time as I'm a shortwave radio & ham radio hobbyist and I need UTC time for that. "What time should I tune in?" "Oh, the website only lists the time in UTC," or "Oh, we'll be at the summit at 12 noon UTC-1 here, what time is that over there?" Doing that in my head is not fun. So I like this feature.Despite the dark format, the digital screen is easy to read in daylight assuming your eyesight is good enough to for normal reading tasks.I also like the BIG light button. It's easy to press. Finally, I ordered this and was concerned that there might be only an olive-green color. I think it was an editing mistake by the manufacturer. I received the tan watch and it's a bit lighter-colored in the outdoors than my photo shows.DISLIKES:The light button blocks the digital display a bit, so you have to tilt the watch just a little bit further toward you to read the digital display. I think you can see this in the attached photo. There is no second hand, which some might find annoying. The SIZE is not as big as the photo makes it look. If you like something that's not huge, maybe this is your watch. But the trend lately is toward near-gigantic watches, so if you have something like that you might feel like this one is puny in comparison. Still, I find that it's big enough for me and it stands out even more if you wear something like a dark paracord bracelet.BIG NOTE: Nighttime. If you need to use the DIGITAL FEATURES at night, you may not like this watch very much. You will need a flashlight because the backlight consists of two reddish lights at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock on the analog dial. THERE IS NO BACKLIGHT FOR THE DIGITAL FACE. I think they do that because they'd rather you buy a G for any of these little nit-picky reasons. In real life, I will almost always have a flashlight at hand. And I have an Amazfit on my other hand, because the extra measurements are nice to have. So personally, it just doesn't matter to me. I can read the hands at night and that's good enough 99% of the time. Even my radios have little flashlights on them so I doubt I'll ever have a problem here.OVERALL:The price point is great and it's really a very good watch. I don't regret buying it. I'm still looking through the manual and learning things. If you are a night-hiker or camper and need to read more than just the time, maybe give it a second thought. But other than that I can highly recommend this watch. 4 stars, with one star deducted for nighttime use.

LED light needs to be brighter.
I am happy with the purchase. I do wish the led light did a better job of lighting up the display.

Inoperative Casiio mens watch
I ordered this watch in December 2024. It has been in the package because I have been deployed. I just returned home & attempted to set up the watch and it does not operate whatsoever. It seems like the battery is completely dead. Can I please replace the watch w a similar Casio?

I love it
I need a watch has analog display (easy for me to read) and digital function (need the alarm and the countdown) also shows the day-date (the day has to be 3 digits e.g. Sunday is "sun" instead of "su"). I know I am very demanding, but it is just me, LOL.Have bought this watch for a couple of days. Yes, it fits all my needs.Pro:1) Light weight, fair value materials, price is low and quality is fair. The glass is just a piece of plastic which is how I felt, but I put a packing clear tape on it and cut the edge off as my home made scratch protection.2) There are 4 push buttons, except the center one for light, the other 3 seemed like are metal with rough surface which generate enough friction to hold and push it down.3) It has Telememo, World Time, Snooze, two daily alarms, Count Down, hourly signal, and Stop watch functions.4) 10 years battery which is better than solar battery (if solar battery never die), or it will be more expensive to replace a solar.5) Casio always uses 4 screws to secure the back plate, much easier to replace the battery than other brands.6) It has a smaller case (44 mm) with a larger LED display.Neutral:1) Telememo, I don't know who needs this, because smart phones can do much more. Also, I try not to buy a watch with Waveceptor, smart phone can always pick up the correct time right after the airplane touch down. However, Waveceptor can auto reset the watch, but the problem is if it can receive the signal? and for how long? I still prefer the old school way to manually adjust.Con:1) There is no pull out button to set up the analog, and this watch can only go forward. For example, if analog is 2 min faster, then I have to forward the hand for 11 hours and 58 min to correct it, that is a lot of pain, even you can hold both C & D to have the hand auto advance. Or, it only need to go backward for 2 min.2) It can show two time zones time, but the digital day-date only matches with the digital time. One can not set the day-date to match with the analog.Overall, I love this watch, and there is a metal version "AMW830D-2AV".
