I love the style and craftsmanship The board is stylish and smooth, as are all the game pieces. Add the velvet bag and carrying case, and it made a problem gift for a serious player!

It’s hard to tell the difference between the pieces but there made very well and look nice.

Both sides of the chess board are very similar in color and when I play with my father in law when I visit him but he has pretty difficult time being able to differentiate the two color so this board has just sort of become a glamorous paper weight in the home.The pieces are very heavy duty which is nice, but they are very top heavy so they come tumbling down with any accidental movement and considering it appears to be a travel chess board it’s to heavy to want to take outside of the house.The lock on the board doesn’t latch properly when closed.

Bought this as a gift and it did not disappoint. It is such a cool set
