The mat is thin, so it rolls up nicely to stick in a drawer when not in use.It is thick enough to pad the top of the glass stovetop, so I don't worry about anyone setting something on it and chipping the glass.It is durable and easy to clean (I use a dish brush on it, while washing dishes.It looks elegant but doesn't immediately draw your eye to it; it is unobtrusive.Overall, I am very impressed with it.

I've had an electric range for about a year now, and we've been 'getting to know each other.' I miss my gas range . . . but I don't. It's a toss up, and a personal preference - a weighing of the pros and cons. This silicone protective mat definitely helps me "like" the glass/ceramic stove top more. I have a very small kitchen, so it makes the stovetop an extension of the counter. That's a big bonus - extra square footage. It also minimizes the schmutz of daily kitchen use - a simple rinse of the silicone mat and it's clean except for occasional food or grease, and that's taken care of with a little soap and water. Great - no time-consuming cleaning of the ceramic/glass stovetop, which in my case is black and glossy and shows every $&*#)@ thing. Anything coming out of the oven, and it goes right on the mat with it's two level surface no worries. We use the stovetop itself daily, and the mat is just rolled/folded to one side or the other, and placed back when the stovetop has cooled off. If there was any small mess left behind, it's covered by the mat until I decide to get to it. Any major use of the stove top, and the mat is moved to the adjacent counter and doubles as a trivet for hot pots/dishes. Overall happy with the construction of the mat itself - sturdy and thick enough to handle hot pots and dishes. And very happy with the quick cleaning of the mat vs the persnickety shiny black stovetop that needs time consuming cleaning to look good. Definitely adds utility to the stovetop as counter space, and saves on time consuming stovetop cleaning by covering smudges and splatters until I can put in the time to making the stovetop sparkle. I'm loving the mat, the cleaning time it's saving and the added function of handling hot pots and dishes. So glad I purchased it.**DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER!** You will get a splotchy cloudy surface left by the detergent, maybe helped along by the heat (even though I do not use the heat functions, the wash water is very hot). I don't have hard water - it's very soft water. It's been a bear trying to clean off the cloudy residue (boiling water, scrubbing). I'm not sure it'll ever be as black as it was before. This isn't a manufacturing problem. It's how this product's silicone surface reacts with extended exposure to the soap and hot water.So just avoid the headache - !*Hand Wash Only*!

I love this stove protector. First my stove perfectly, looks good, easy to install and remove. Would buy again, if I had another stove!

I got this to keep my stovetop nice and clean when not in use. The little ridges on it collect dust and make it a pain to clean. So I flipped it over! Doesn't look as nice but is much easier to maintain. I love the functionality and flexibility. Doesn't smell and allows me to use my stove top for additional counter space.

I use this stove cover when company is coming to hide the ugly scratches on my glass stovetop. It fits my stove perfectly and makes it look so much nicer. I find it cleans up easily. I just roll it up and set it aside when I know I'll be using the stove. Dust and crumbs may want to stick to the silicone, so I just make sure to lay it down on a clean surface. I don't set hot pans on it, so I can't speak to how well it holds up to that. I was embarrassed by the look of my stove top, and this has taken care of that problem. I probably wouldn't use it if my household had family members who might forget to remove it before using the stove. Heat resistant doesn't mean fireproof.

Very good quality and looks so nice on my glass cooktop. Much more convenient than a heavy wooden cover.

I like that its flexible so I can remove it from the stove when I'm ready to cook. It rolls and folds easily. I now have more counter space by covering the stove and not worry about scratching the glass top.
