Great Car Inverter with Smart Features! 🚗⚡
I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this 750W car inverter, wondering if the wiring to the cigarette lighter could handle it. But upon arrival, I quickly realized that it works fine with the lighter for devices under 100W, and for anything more powerful, it requires a direct connection to the car battery. Thankfully, it comes with special cables for that direct battery connection – exactly what I needed!Using it for the first time, I didn't catch right away that it had an on/off button, but once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing. It seems to smartly detect whether it's connected to the cigarette lighter or directly to the battery, which is pretty neat. The device also has estimates for power consumption of various devices, though these are rough guidelines since power needs can vary greatly. The build quality really impressed me; the plastic casing feels sturdy, and the inverter itself seems worth every penny. It's priced just right for its value. A must-have for any car owner looking for a reliable power source on the go!

Great little unit
This inverter worked perfectly for my needs. I used it to power a single receptacle in my motorhome. Now I have 120vac whenever I need it.

Functional and simple
Note to beginners: this is a Modified Sine Wave (MSW) inverter, a simple type that may not play well with motors or all electronics. I use MSW to run simple resistance loads like hotplates, crockpots, coffeemaker etc.If you want to run electronics or things with motors (like fans) then pony up for a Pure Sine Wave (PSW) inverter.-----Amazon seems to be doing a good job picking products for their Basics line, and this is no exception.PRO:* the bolt-on terminals are vastly more sturdy than thumbscrews. This is a Big Deal IMO.* holds close to 120vac even under heavy loads (≥118v). When idling (no load) voltage sits ~114vac, not sure why. Some kind of power saving circuit causing that?* speaking of which, idle consumption is ~5w, not bad for an inverter at this price point. You can turn it off with the remote if you need to save that 5w.* having two outlets is handy. Each is capable of handling the rated 1000w. ie, it's not 2x 500w outlets as I've seen on some others.* the fan only comes on as needed and is not overly loud. Yes, you will hear it.CON* the only con I can come up with is the cycling Vdc/Vac/W display. I'd rather it show all at once or let you choose which to display permanently. It's annoying to sit there staring until the value you want shows up. It makes little difference in my use case since I measure system voltage with a shunt and loads with a Kill-a-Watt* updated to add: I thought of another nitpick. The 120vac outlets are "upside down" from usual (ground pin up) so I cannot plug in a kill-a-watt directly. I'll have to plug in a strip and plug the killawatt into that. A tiny thing, but it came to mind.

It’s great.
What can I say it works

Best small inverter
I use small inverters such as these to provide 120 volts AC power to small solar powered controls that operate continuously. I test all the small inverters I find available. These inverters have the lowest standby current of available small inverters and operate very well at lower battery voltage.

MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN DO NOT BUY
I bought this power inverter a few months ago and it worked well until I turned on my car this morning while it was 20 degrees outside and noticed the smell of burning plastic. I looked down and noticed smoke coming from the power inverter. Luckily I noticed in time to take it out before it got too hot to touch. The only thing plugged in was a dash cam in the usb port which doesn’t require much power. In addition the power inverter blew a fuse in my car. I tried calling the manufacturer number given by Amazon but they were no help and just said they do not produce this product.

Cost effective alternative
My more expensive equipment that I had gotten from a brick and mortar store breathed its last just as I was prepping for a trip. This one got delivered quick and served its purpose.Only thing to call out - it is ONLY 75W - a heavy duty laptop charger will drain that and some more - so please check your equipment before putting them in for charging

Size of the prong
The prawns are too big for the cigarette lighter that fits in my truck. This keeps coming out so I had to purchase a different one.
