Amazing sub
I purchased this back in April 2022 as part of a patio upgrade, and originally paired it with a Fosi M03 200W subwoofer amp. The other components were simple - Fosi DA2120C 240W bluetooth amp which paired with a set of Definitive Technology AW6500 outdoor speakers. At first, the bass was muddy and the sub would sound as if it was clipping and too much amp for it. I upgraded the amplifier to a Crown XLS1002 running in bridged mode @700W. WOW it was like a whole different sub! This product puts out some good quality bass, but you should keep in mind you can adjust the amp settings to a higher cutoff frequency, say 235hz and you'll get more thump (if that's what you desire). I decided to try a higher "quality" subwoofer, so I purchased JBL Professional Control SB2210. To my amazement, and after listening to many different genres of music and made all other settings equal, I could not distinguish any difference except for 2 things. The JBL is more pricey and the build felt like the housing was cheap plastic. So, bottom line if one expects good quality sound from this sub, go with a higher powered, higher quality amplifier and it will make all the difference! Side note I also decided to upgrade my main speaker bluetooth amp and purchased an S.M.S.L. SA400. Pricey but much better quality, clean undistorted sound . Since then, any gatherings I've had, my guests are amazed at the sound and the consistent remark is the bass is very clean and doesn't overwhelm.Adding a note:Since it's a downward firing sub, it doesnt sound as good if you place it on a softer surface such as grass, dirt, gravel. I moved it to a concrete surface and there was a huge difference. I placed some concrete pavers on the gravel where I originally placed it. Then did some research to understand more about bass and how their soundwaves work, then understood why a grass surface didnt work as well. Also if you place a plant or vase on top, it will slide off with the vibration. I placed 3 plastic bumpers with double sided tape to keep it in place. I also purchased some silicone sound insulators (feet you can stick to the bottom to minimize vibration). Hope this helps!

Powerful Bass with out breaking the bank
I purchased two of these subs (each powered by their own OSD audio SMP300 Mono-Channel Class D Subwoofer) which are coupled with a pair of Klipsch Reference AW-650 and a denon avr s540bt. My goal was to create a nice outdoor system without worrying about longevity during ohio winters. (hence my emphasis on budget outdoor speakers) The denon allows you to run a 2.1 system with dual subs. By sending a majority of the bass (through the low pass filter on the denon) to the subs, it relieved the Klipsch speakers of bass distortion. (they were obviously overworked at high volumes without a designated subwoofer. This resulted in a crystal clear system at a relatively reasonable price point. Its also loud enough to get complaints from the neighbors who live multiple houses away. I was impressed with these subs. They deliver clear, strong bass that does not disappoint. (I listen to EDM/Rap/Bass heavy music). Even at low volumes (for example watching a movie on my outdoor TV), they deliver nice punchy effects. I would definitely buy again. They have made it through one winter (I play them even on the coldest of days while in my hot tub) with absolutely no issues. They still look brand new. I look forward to testing their longevity.

Great Addition But Not Enough Thump
This subwoofer I'm in a love hate relationship with. I got it for my large outdoor patio to bring some thump to the party. It sounds so good you can't tell where the speakers left off and the subwoofer picks up. This makes for a very full and satisfying sound, it's a beautiful thing. I think it's got plenty of power for 90% of people, I am just a bit extra. I like to feel my music. I'm feeding it with a Fosi 320W receiver which powers my speakers but sends input to a 300W Nobsound pre-amplifier which directly powers the subwoofer. My only complaint is the sub still leaves me craving a good thump. It sounds great, I love the fullness of sound my backyard now has but not 100% fulfilled with the amount of low tones produced overall. I'm going to add a 600W RMS 12" car subwoofer/amp kit to finish the job. It will be in addition to this unit.

WOW...So impressive!!
Wow!! So impressed with the outdoor sub. What a huge difference it made coupled with four 2R8G speakers and 4000 watt Pyle PT8050CH mixing Amp. It delivers the perfect bass that we were missing!! I was a little apprehensive setting up a base outside but to my surprise you don't lose the sound quality in the wide open space. HIGHLY recommend!!!
