Sharp SH-EL1750V Printing Calculator, Black/Red

I rarely use an adding machine, and I have had the same plug-in Canon for at least 20 year, but it got zapped in a recent thunderstorm and I had to replace it. This Sharp looked similar, had a plug-in option and the price was right - and it's a perfectly good machine except for one issue, which is a personal one. The keys are raised much higher than they were on my Canon, and my keystroke style, such as it is, doesn't work with these raised keys. Other reviews mention this feature as well, some of them complimentary. It's just a personal choice, and my personal choice is to return it and buy another Canon.UPDATE: I have changed my review to 5 stars because the customer service at this company (Shoplet) is bogglingly good. The calculator keyboard didn't suit my style, so I returned it, but I waited a while to do so. The company sent me two reminders to get my return in the mail, and then my package got lost in the mail, and Shoplet got back to me the same day every time I had to communicate with them. Really unusual customer service in this day and age, so they deserve 5 stars.

very easy to use/light weight

Received as advertised. Handheld size. Works well. Would advise to order extra roll of paper since original doesn’t last very long. One slight drawback is when it’s printing it’s LOUD! All in all it appears to be a good value. It’s lightweight enough to hold in your hand while working if necessary. Also, I like having the option of battery operated or plug in.

Simple to use and used very little battery power

After using my old Sharp calculator since the 80’s, I figured it’s probably time to get a new one…what a disappointment this new one is!It feels like a toy model, very lightweight, the paper holder is the worse; paper keeps sliding off the wimpy holder. The buttons are wimpy also! The whole thing is just junk and I missed the return by one day…ugh 😩If you are going to buy this Sharp Calculator, shop around and try for the older models!
