Would buy again
Works amazing. I've been using it to strip pine logs that fell during hurricane Helene. That way some of the trees which broke or uprooted got some use other than just being chipped. And yes that is how they use the trees that come down during these storms. I made a raised garden out of a few and this helped me stripped the bark off without much problem. Although I do recommend if you're stripping pine bark wait for a month for the tar to settle otherwise you're not really getting all that bark off. Once I waited a month, I got everything debarked easily and quickly. I love the leather case that goes over the blade since it stops any accidental cutting when not using it or during storage it protects the blade to some degree. It's not going to keep the blade from rusting but it does allow you to carry it without concern for cutting yourself. And that's why I bought this particular one. I've used it now for two 10 ft, two 4 ft and seven 2 ft. I plan to continue to use it on the two feet as I am making them into benches for my fire pit (punishment for the tree that fell on the house because now they will have butts sitting on them), lol. I don't know how it compares to others on here because this was the first one I tried. The quality is very good, the blade is thick and so is the leather cover. I was very happy with what I received for the price. It's easy to use and easy to control because the handles fit your hands very well and feels substantial.

Sharp.
It came out of the box, sharp and sturdy. Came with sheath. Tried on a couple branches and works as expected. I don’t write these and yet here I am.

Well-built and sturdy
It seems well-built, but it is not sharp out of the box. After putting a good edge, it worked like it should.

Amazing tool
Hubby said he wanted this and I took a chance. It's an amazing product and works great. The blade is super sharp right out of the package. Love the cover for it as well.

Blade comes VERY dull.
Straight out of the box I noticed the beveled edge is so dull it's almost round. And the bevel is not ground straight. There is a dip in the bevel 2/3 of the way from the left side of the blade. I've honestly never had any blade come more dull out of the box than this one. Expect to spend several hours getting a proper edge on this blade. I can't speak to how well it holds an edge because I have used it once and I only gave it a quick sharpening.Other than that, the handles seem to be holding quite well, and the leather sheath is a nice touch. But I would give up the sheath in a heartbeat for the blade to come any sharper than it did. You get what you pay for.Update: after leaving an initial 3 stars I have changed to 1 star. After spending over an hour sharpening with quality sharpening stones, getting a halfway decent edge, and trying it again, the knife DOES NOT hold an edge whatsoever. After all that, less than 20 minutes of use has it as dull as it was out of the package. Extremely disappointed. Don't waste your money on this product.

Nice knife, why is it blunt?
This draw knife seems like it's well built for the money but why is this things edge blunt? I don't mean dull, I mean blunt. Also, as another reviewer stated, the instructions tell you never to cut towards your body. . . .it's a draw knife. . . . . . . sort of in the name that you will pull towards yourself. That said I haven't used it yet. Assuming it takes and edge it should be serviceable and I'm looking forward to using it.

Nice tool!
I have a few projects in the works for some wood collected from pruning. I have some hardwood branches that need to be trimmed up. I have every intention to use the wood for something nice. The current branch has gotten too long and drapes nearly to the ground.I like the sturdiness of the very shape blade. I can tell it was made with precision standards. The wooden handles are tight and will serve well for handling. I noted the fine detail of the leather blade safety cover. It has great snaps to secure the wrap. The leather is thicker and has been well preserved.
