I did tons of research looking for the lightest, smallest, compact umbrella. When your backpacking you are looking for those features in a product especially the lightest. I weighed this as soon as I got it to see if they were telling a fib about the weight. Its true, it was 6.5 oz, IF you take the outer fabric case off. You wont need that anyway. The ball handle covers and conceals the pointy ends very well so those pointy ends dont poke holes in bags in your backpack. With the umbrella closed it fits in the palm of my hand from the tip of my finger to the end of my palm, just under 7 inches long. Truly the perfect backpacking umbrella, and for $10 its way better and lighter than the Heliox hiking umbrella for $80. It is a little hard to open it all the way but if you know that you have to push it up hard till it clicks that becomes a non issue after the first time you open it. The trade off for it being so light is completely worth it. Its not super sturdy but it is sturdy enough to use it for what it is supposed to be used for, so no jumping off cliffs and using it as a parachute! It is also a little small side when fully opened but again for me, thats a non issue ITS LIGHT, and it will cover my shoulders for those light rains. Heavy rains and wind I will pull out the Frog toggs.

I use this umbrella at the playground when the grand kids are playing. There is no shade and it gets super hot. As soon as you get under the umbrella it is several degrees cooler und there is no sun getting thru it. It’s the perfect size for what I use it for and a good value for the money. I always keep it in the car. It might not be the perfect item for a suitcase as it is a bit bulky when folded up, but it work great for everyday use!

Nice umbrella, but it takes extra umph to latch it closed; the Velcro closure isn’t long enough to secure the umbrella without placing it back into the very tight case that came with it; and you’ll probably never be able to fit it back into the case once it’s out.With that said, it was able to hold up in Category One Hurricane Beryl, so well done!

This was a great purchase, so much I'll be buying another for my spouse. For being such a small umbrella, it works better than expected. Firstly, when the button is clicked, it deploys in an instant. I love the mint green color, and the black interior makes it good in the sun as well. It is very sturdy and keeps the rain away like it should. I love being able to quickly close it with the button and have it set down in the passenger floorboard without getting rainwater everywhere in the car.

So easy to open and the functionality is great! Love that it closes backwards because you truly dont get wet. Pretty good value for money, decent size, i wish they had different colors but whatever.Only complaint is that its very hard and annoying to put it back in the case to store it

It’s solid and durable umbrella. However, it’s quite heavy and somewhat difficult to close. When it gets wet from rain, it’s slippery and makes it even more difficult to close. It does a good job on blocking the sun, so it does what it’s supposed to.

This umbrella worked well for my vacation. It is small, easy to pack and carry with you. I'm glad I ordered it.

Absolutely love the umbrella, sustains kinda tough winds, worth the buy and as I ride the bus at times, it helps me stay covered from the horrible heat of Fl. And it's pretty too.

El color es bonito, el material se ve delgado (habrá que probarlo para ver si no se abre con el viento). Se abre fácilmente, aunque para cerrarlo si hay que usar un poco de fuerza e intentar varias veces. Le puse 4 porque considero que es muy pesado, yo lo quería para andar en la mochila, pero por el peso creo que la opción es dejarlo en el coche.

Quality is great but I don't recommend for anyone above 15 year of age. The handle is small and length of umbrella is also for small. The area it expand to is ok but in heavy rain or rain with wind there is 100% chance to get wet till knee if u are above 5'5". I recommend it to women or children. Not for a office worker of student as they will get themselves soaked bcz of small size.
