I've never put anything liquid in them, but I've never had a problem with anything else. They're really terrific, except I wish I had gotten the unpainted ones. They are worthless once the lids start chipping. A real mess.

Q: Are these really 6 1/4 x 4 1/2 ??? All the other models (& this model on the lunchbots website) are 6 x 5. Hoping 4 interchangeable lids!

The container opening is about 6 1/4" by 4 6/8". I just measured mine. The lids on this fit all of my lunchbots sandwich size containers but the other lids don't fit this one and my newer ones. There is a little lip on the newer model which prevents the older lids from fitting the newer ones. Hope that helps.

My child was able to do it at 3, but still likes to have help sometimes. The teachers do help at our school also, but they don't mention that they help him often.

No, I'd say you can't. It's fairly shallow so I can fit only one half into one side. Unless it's a particularly thin sandwich! I can do two halves of an open face sandwich stacked. I'll often put half a thick sandwich on one side, and fruit on the other. I hope that helps!

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Colleagues at work are envious of these tins. They are great to use, easy to clean and environmentally friendly. They are not suitable for very wet food as they do let some liquids through.

Great size tin for snacks or small lunch.

Perfect size snack tin for me when I'm at work. I take healthy snacks and these tins are great. Easy to wash, no fiddly sections that can't be cleaned. Dry easily. Stay tightly shut and not upper wear. Have had lots of admirers.

My search for the perfect lunchbox continues

Much smaller than expected. I got this box in the hopes of putting a sandwich in the one side and a small fruit in the other. You can't fit a sandwich in without cutting off some of the crusts. You also can't fit in a rice cake. It also needs an elastic around it to hold it closed. Very disappointed.
