So originally I thought this was expensive and dismissed buying it as there were cheaper ones on Amazon. But after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a go. Well I have done burgers on a bbq for over twenty years and can't believe I have managed so long without one of these. It smashes meat burgers and turns them with ease, now if you have ever tried to cook home made veggie bean burgers on a bbq, you will know how they stick and fall apart. Well this baby got mine turned and off, in no time and kept the burger together. I would not hesitate to buy another although I think this will last for a very long time!

I bought two of these, as my wife calls them, "Hells boys". One 5x4 inch, and one 5x3 inch. They are quality build, very sturdy and capable of smashing burgers with no hassle. The bigger one is better for griddle, because it's a little to big for regular pans and skittles. These are superb spatulas and you won't regret buying them. Just bare in mind to buy the size you need.

This is a very high quality item. It’s sturdy and lovely in the hand. Everyone in the family likes using it. Hand wash and dry it properly and it should last for ages. Recommended.

Although this is expensive for a spatula it seems worth it for the quality. It’s perfect for smashing burgers

A great piece of kit that I use on both the barbecue and flat grills.It does have some heft to it and when I took it to my takeaway a couple of the staff complained it was too heave to use for a length of time. I took it back home and bought them gym memberships.It looks as though it will last for years especially if you keep it out of the dishwasher. Dishwashers are fatal for sharp knives and plastic, rubber and wooden handles, so not taking the risk.Easy to clean, can be used for most grilling applications and it looks the part.

Such a great kitchen tool. Perfect for smashed burgers and working chunks of meat on a hot plate.However, used it a couple of times and it now has specks of scratches or something and shows rust after each wash? I just wipe away and use, but meh.Edit: Seems this is caused by putting it in the dishwasher. It's only been in a couple of times, but their website states it should be handwashed. Shame, this tool would be perfect if it could go in a regular dishwasher.

Make make fire. Man need weapons. This is just perfect. Cuts, scoops, cleans, flips, glints...Super heavy duty, makes an idiot chef look like he knows what he's doing. Nice to hold and use. My new weapon of choice when manning the BBQ.

Great spatula for using on the barbecue. The handle never heats up, the tool is long enough to reach the back of the barbecue, and I can always pry up the stickiest, sauciest meats easily with the Mercer. It works good with grill grates, but even better with a flat top cooking surface! A well thought out, solid utensil for any kitchen.

These are incredible for use on a griddle. Makes equally good hibachi or pancakes on my Blackstone.

I’ve bought several sets of inexpensive griddle accessories here on Amazon and at Walmart. Frankly, I should just have spent the money and bought these first.The cheaper sets had too much flex, thinner metal, and deformed easily, making working on the griddle harder than it needed to be. The edges are crisp, the metal thick and sturdy.While some folks say you should hand-wash these, I figured if they are used in restaurants (and I found them at restaurant supply stores online), those folks aren’t handwashing these. So, I’ve been throwing these in the dishwasher and after several washings, there is no sign of rust or oxidation.Side-by-side with the inexpensive tools I bought, the Mercer tools are sturdier and the metal is obviously shinier, higher quality, smoother, and polished to a sleek finish. The handles are comfortable and seem as if they will last forever.My only regret is that I wish I had bought these first. Got this to use with my blackstone griddle. I have some official blackstone turners and wow what a night and day different in terms of quality. This Mercer turner is sturdy and definitely meant to last. I can smash a burger patty without worrying about bending the metal. My blackstone turners are flimsy and if I tried to smash a patty the metal would definitely bend at the handle.The edges are beveled making getting under the food much easier. I’ve had no issue handling the turner in high heat. Just a great turner for griddle use.Obviously you get what you pay for. These Mercer turners aren’t cheap but I can see them lasting a lifetime. I plan to get other variations to complete my griddle tool set. Definitely recommend.Update: added to my collection and bought the grill scraper. Very sturdy with no flex what so ever. The scraping edge has a nice bevel to it. Not obvious in the product pictures but the scraping edge is not squared, instead it has a slight angle to it. I initially thought the scraper was defective until i searched for pictures online and it appears the angle is purposely made...perhaps it helps to scrape better?
