Easy to do. Good value for money. Good stress breaker. At the end you have a lovely gift for someone and there is lots of choice in patterns.

Paper chart holes don't match canvas holes for wool every row 2 short otherwise ok

I am enjoying the activity but it is not wool quality for a rug!!It is a fun exercise but I cannot expect to use it as a hallway throw

Totally the wrong colours and print on design doesn’t even look like a cat on the picture the wool is thin like tissue paper and looks terrible

It is good value and the quality is good it is very easy to do and it doesn't take long to finish it is lovely when finished I would recommend it if you want a small piece to do

I have been latch hooking for decades, with a small break of about 10 years or so. I bought this to help occupy my mind/hands after my only child died this month. If you follow chart they give you, you may as well have an un-stenciled canvas. I just looked at the printed canvas and the finished photo and took it from there. The idea behind a good latch hook is that is is easy and can be done without much work or thought. This is why I quit worrying about the directions - I pretty much am following the printed design, but as others said, it's not an easy design to read - I need three lights (one overhead and two lamps - one on either side, to clearly see the printed design. So, I would say, look at the picture on the box and just grab the colors closest to the stencil and go with it. I do agree there are some super short yarn pieces and others that are double the length, but I put them to the side in case I need them later. For me, this has really helped me have something to focus on while grieving, and I'm pleased with it.

I have never done latch hook before, it was super simple to understand. The graph was a little tricky for me at first, but I figured it out. It was hard to figure out where the “top” was on the actual carpet, because well, it’s round. I did however realize there is a difference between the horizontal and vertical lines to help you figure out which way is the right way. I use a pen to cross off the lines as I go to avoid confusion. Also, the colours on the grid that you attach the yarn to, do not match the colours you are using, so you have to use the guide. It would be helpful if they used the same colours on the actual carpet to make it easier to follow.

This rug was a lot of fun to make and it turned out great. Only thing is, watch the pattern closely. The rug was cut too short causing it to miss a row at the top of the Santa hat. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

I have seen many poor reviews on this product, so I wanted to jump in with a good one. I have not yet started hooking the project, but I can tell from simply unpacking that this is a quality product and was handled with care.The yarn is of good quality--far higher than any kit I have bought at craft stores. It is sorted by color--I did not have to sort it on my own. If I didn't already have a case that I place the yarn in, I could have left it in its wrappings and used the case it came in. The netting appears to be high quality and strong. The pattern printed on it is not clear for colors, but I'm used to not having a pattern printed at all. The chart that came separate is small print, but manageable. I can tell the hook that came with is rather cheaply made, but if someone wants to get into the craft long term, they should probably buy a sturdier hook of their own anyway, or already have one. It's not a problem for me, but worth noting.I am excited to begin this project, and I wanted to immediately come in with a good review to counter out the negatives that seem to be the most recent reviews.I will be buying from this seller again, no questions asked.

Nice design , but not sewn together properly. So pattern was off. But still fun to make
