excellent saw, usual Dewalt quality, what a relief to no longer have electrical cables trailing, powerful enough for all jobs, battery last well and its even quite quiet to use.

Well impressed! Not used much yet but it’s brilliant. Might report back when I’ve done the decking!
Only made a few cuts so far but it’s so quiet and precise that I know it’s going to be great with the rest of my XPS kit. As somebody else said in a review the cordless stuff has come on a huge amount since I bought my original stuff years ago! It’s just a joy to use.EDIT - Dec 2018. It’s now been used for fencing and 50m2 of decking. Cuts 6*2 softwood no problem, 4 inch posts (with a flip over!), decking boards, etc. The fact that the blade is only 1.2mm thick means it can cope. Defintely worth getting the Dewalt stand - might cost £100 but once the jobs finished you can sell it on Ebay for £60 plus 😀.

One of the best battery tool I ever used.
I had to upgrade my tool set to battery tools. This is an amazing light weight, precise,Easy to handle and carry...I can highly recommend this for any project, especially if you have to jump in and out jobs. The built in LED light is a bonus...So all together this tool is an Ace.You must have the minimum 5Ah battery or bigger.

My partner insisted we needed this mitre saw, despite the fact that our biggest home project is assembling IKEA furniture. But hey, happy hubby, happy life, right? Within hours of unboxing, he was measuring random bits of wood like he was about to build Noah’s Ark. Did we need perfectly cut pieces of scrap wood? No. But does he look like a kid at Christmas every time he uses it? Absolutely.Bonus: It keeps him out of trouble for hours, which means I get full control of the TV. Five stars!

Great product. Does the job as described.
Loved the idea of a smaller, lighter and compact mitre saw for work and it runs on batteries. Not cheap though, and at least mine doesn't slide particularly smoothly, hopefully it will free up with more use. Can't recommend it enough otherwise a great saw.
