TamiyaHawker Sea Harrier FRS1 Model 1:48 Assembly Building Kit

I'd never done a jet before and didn't want to spend a huge amount when I'd need to learn the nuances of the build and how to paint it. However, it went together rather nicely, and for the purists will defo need filling and sanding, but for myself, I was happy to just put it all together and have some fun painting. The model turned out great, and for a kit this cheap, that's a lot model fun! Highly recommend!

There's a reason for the low price, its quite an old production so a bit ropey on detail and fit. That said, with a bit of modelling experience a very nice job can be achieved.In my opinion not money wasted, an opportunity to learn how to re-scribe panel and rivet lines, sort out fit issues and have a bit of fun without spending too much. No pictures,this kit will take patience to do a good job.

The part fitment has been nearly perfect- other reviewers have mentioned it's way off so it could be hit or miss on that front but I have no complaints.It's a tamiya 1/48, and at 15 pounds you could do far worse. It's a fairly simple build without too many parts so if you're an advanced modeller it's a bit of fun for a couple of days. If you're new to the hobby itll keep you well occupied!

Lots of detail, but not too complex, a quaWality product, and easily my favourite purchase in model aircraft in the last 8 years..i used to love watching them take off...

Box was a bit damaged which is a shame as it's a present but otherwise looks good
