Remington Titanium-X Foil Shaver - F5800

Excellent value, best shave I have had from any electric razor in 30 years. I wanted to purchase a £100+ shaver, joined Which magazine for shaver reviews found Which best buy Amazon reviews showing issues with foil/head replacement which was not part of Which's shaver testing. Considered the Remington F7800, but once I found that the amazon replacement foil for both the F5800 and the F7800 were one and the same reasoned that the shave quality should be equal .also the bells and whistles of the pricier F7800 could not justify a £40 price difference. My decision was sound. You can buy two F5800 for price of a F7800, At this price who needs to be bothered with foil replacementPS: I do not clean shaver under tap but use pressurised can of Air Duster brought from amazon site £14 for 4 tins, cans have multiple uses, take seconds to clean your razor, dry out equally fast. Cans will last ages if just utilised for shaver cleaning6 months on, The shave is not quite as close now,but the battery is as good as new, the recharge time is very quick indeed.The battery run time is impressive for any shaver at any price bracket

I have been using Remington shavers now for quite a number of years my last one just became so tiered after many years of use, so I decided to buy another, so I went straight on to Amazon and I found the F5800 for a very good price indeed, it arrived quite quick and fully charged, but I decided to do what the manual says and leave it on charge for 24 hours, and then I had my first shave, just like the f7800 it did a very good job for an electric shaver, nice and smooth, what I like about this shaver is (f5800), just like the f7800 it shows you how much power you have left in the battery so that it does not die out on you when having a shave, I have to say though, electric shaver only do about say 90% of a good shave as to a wet shave, so once a week I have a wet shave at the week end, it tends to clean up all the loose ends that get missed during the week, I can not fault this shaver so I have given 5 No stars, again Amazon thank you for your product, good price, and first class delivery, do not spoil it, Don

I recently bought another Remington shaver but was dissatisfied with it, not least because it did not hold a charge for very long. I went back to the F5800 & am delighted I did so. It is lighter, quieter, easier to use & gives a smoother finish. Plus it gives at least 9 or 10 shaves on an overnight charge. Highly recommended.

Works but have no idea whether it's charging as lights don't come on. It came fully charged so may or may not be an expensive couple of shaves. I'll drain it flat and see as it's actually a good razor....

Bought this to replace my MS3 2700 which, although no longer made, was extremely efficient but was falling to bits with a battery that was on its last legs. I was concerned that the F5800 only had 2 Foils against the MS3's 3 foils, the third being replaced by an "intercept trimmer" which cuts hairs which are too long for the foil cutters to handle. The new combination works well and gives a clean shave. However, the negatives are that the shaver is bigger and the posion of the on-off button makes it vunerable to accidental turn off whilst shaving. Also my MS3 and earlier models came with a good soft leather container whereas this comes with a tatty pouch.But, overall is good value for money and delivery was very good.

This is my second Remington of this type and gives an excellent shave. The previous one gave me over ten years of great shaves. Worth the extra cost compared to cheaper versions.

I had previously purchased a F7800 back in 2014 ( its now 2023 ) so for a rechargeable cordless shaver I was well happy. Alas in 2023 the battery began to fail me and I started looking round for a new one and open to any make. I found the F5800 on the UK Amazon site and it looks almost identical to the F7800 except that displayed 60 mins when battery full, and the ratings looked good so I ordered it. Obviously I have not been using it very long yet but so far it is as good as my previous model. The real annoying thing is that even though Remington knew it was heading for UK it only came with a USA plug, The description however does say "US imports may differ from local products." however it does not say only supplied with a USA plug fitting. Luckily I have traveled to USA and have one of those plug adaptors that I can use to plug it into either a UK Shaver point or UK 3 pin plug. Buyers need to know this.

Gives me a very clean shave in next to no time even after several day's beard growth. What more can I say?
