great pen
I recently picked up the Big Idea Design Slim Bolt Action Pen, and I have to say, it's been a game changer for my daily writing tasks. The first thing I noticed was how sleek and minimalist it looks; it fits perfectly in my hand and is surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The bolt action mechanism is super satisfying. There’s just something about that little click that feels really nice when you're writing. It’s not just for show either; it works smoothly without any jams, which is a relief. I’ve had issues with pens before where they just stop writing or skip, but this one has been reliable from the get-go.One of my favorite features is the interchangeable ink cartridges. I've tried a couple of different types, and each one offers a different writing experience. It’s great to customize it to what I prefer on any given day. Plus, the pen has a premium feel without breaking the bank, which is a bonus.Overall, if you're in the market for a stylish, functional pen that makes writing enjoyable, I highly recommend giving the Big Idea Design Slim Bolt Action Pen a shot. It’s quickly become my go-to and I couldn't be happier with it!

Built to Last and Fits Almost Any Refill.
This BigiDesign Slim Bolt pen is seriously impressive. The titanium build feels solid and premium — definitely not your average pen. It’s got some good weight to it, but still feels great in the hand. One of the best parts is the internal adjustable length. You can use just about any refill you want, which is awesome if you have a favorite. No more being stuck with one brand.Feels like a pen I’ll be using for years — maybe even passing down one day. It’s tough, sleek, and super versatile. Totally worth it if you’re into quality gear.

Impeccably brilliant Brass slim bolt action pen by Big Idea Design
I’ve been looking for a nice titanium pen that can use different refills, unlike some of the flight pen style and embassy style pens I have, which are great but limited. I found this and while researching it I realized it could house the uniball Umr-82 refills which I knew my wife loved the Umr-83. With a quick rotation of the included torx key the pen accepted the longer uniball refill. I ended up replacing the solid clip screw to help keep it clean and I think it looks better. All in all the quality is fantastic, the innovation is truly impressive. The smoothness of the action is buttery. It works as well as a fidget tool as it does a writing implement. Also the size and balance is quite nice. I believe it’s 20g heavier than the titanium being brass, but the weight feels solid and pleasant in the fingers. Those that spin pens or twirl them through their fingers will appreciate the balance and smoothness of the main body. I’ve since purchased a second (this time titanium) for me.. mainly so I don’t abscond with my wife’s brass. Is it cheap? No. Is it something that will likely last for years of continuous use? I would be extremely surprised if it didn’t. And judging by what the company stands for, I feel if there was an issue, they would do what they could to fix it. Also based on TN so supporting something not outsourced is worth the cost when the quality is this impeccable.

ALMOST PERFECT, ALMOST
Works exactly as described. Simple to adjust. Fit and finish are flawless. Overall, reasonably happy with this pen. I have a strong preference for Pilot G2 refills, and this is the first high quality pen which can accommodate these. So why only 4 stars? There are two reasons:1) The clip is very thick and inflexible and nearly useless. It requires substantial prying to open it even enough to slip the pen into a shirt pocket. As for attaching it to a leather daily planner or such, forget it! What is the purpose of a clip if it is so aggressive it is nearly rigid? I find this defect very annoying. Why turn an otherwise nearly perfect product into a love/hate relationship?2) The shiny brass mechanism stands out like a sore thumb against the black barrel. Would have been so much nicer if it had been finished in black or at least something darker. This was especially annoying because they included a useless (IMO) decorative knob to use optionally in place of the black knob. Why not use that money to finish the brass component and make the pen look nicer?

A solid pen.
It's literally solid metal basically. Feels good in the hand. I purchased mostly for the bolt action feature. That way the pen didn't open randomly when I was try to insert it into my wallet/portfolio. The bolt action is super fun to click, just try not to annoy anyone. As you can tell, mine has developed a patina. Looked better new but comes with the territory. Leaves a metal smell on you hand, you may not like that. I don't mind, I'm always dirty working outside and such. Haven't tried to change the ink yet. Happy with the one it came with. Cool pen, price is very steep, but you pay for quality. And you don't lose this one because you'll be afraid to lose $100

I'm a sucker for copper!
Let me start off by saying that the craftsmanship of this pen is quite high. Don't let the location of where the pens are made fool you, these are nice. The ink provided isn't my favorite but that's easily changed out if you so wish. The bolt action is nice and smooth. No issues there. Spring is pretty stiff right off the get go but loosens up pretty quickly. Overall I have no complaints with the pen. Its expensive sure, but if you're like me and enjoy edc stuff, you've likely spent more than you "should" on some piece of gear. Either way, if you use pens, its worth a look.

Better than expected
I just opened it. So I’ll update if needed; but the picture doesn’t do justice. It’s not at thin and pale. The weight is hefty and balanced. It feels great. There’s alot of functionality: the clip is reversible. The cartridge depth is adjustable. The bolt action is tighter and crisper than anticipated. There’s no looseness nor rattling.

How did I not review this
Been using this for a year. It's a work of art. I also have Tactile Turn but just prefer this.
