Staying on a smooth tap spout, under pressure, using only friction, is asking a lot of a thing.That's why I broke the habit of a lifetime & paid the premium for Hozelock, instead of laughing at their prices & walking away, my theory being that if anyone can still make a decent product capable of doing this then they will.I am delighted to say I was right, unlike cheap random-brand useless things, this works a treat! It's built solidly with high-quality materials & is well worth the money.Please bear in mind that you can't expect any friction-joint to stay under high pressure, so if you use a shut-off valve at the other end of your hose, such as a spray nozzle set to the off setting, or if you kink the hose in use, it will inevitably leak or slide off completely - all the other connections on your hose system will be threaded or bayonet-fixed, so like anything, the pressure will come out at the point of least resistance. So please don't expect the impossible. But if you leave the water flowing, it will work beautifully well.It had to fit it over the 90 degree bend on my tap, as the final straight part of my old kitchen tap is so short (I wasn't even sure it had a chance of working), and yet I was able to turn my tap up high for a long time & had no problems with leakage or spraying or sliding off.It arrrives with the screw-fastening slightly tightened so I unscrewed it fully & put the connector in a cup of warm water for a few minutes to soften the inner rubber gripping system & let it relax again, and in use I let the hose loop against the side of the sink to brace it a little, but I didn't need to tie or tape the hose or connector to the tap as I was expecting to, and have always had to do in the past with inferior connectors, even with better designed taps.So all in all, remember the laws of physics & apply common sense to your expectations, and buy this brand if you want hassle-free and deluge-free tap connections. I know I'm glad I did :)

So this is the perfect attachment if you have an older style tap with a poking out metal spout. You undo the screw so that the hozelock connection slips on. Push it on as far as it goes. Then tighten the screw up. You need to do it as tight as possible since this will be what stops the water from spurting out.Then it's a simple matter of conncting the hozelock connect on the hose itself to this. Works really well, fitting in 2 minutes.

Hard to get excited about such a simple utility, but what I wanted> I'd bought a new rain water but but could not slide the hose onto the spigot. This did the job of enabling me to connect my Hoselock hose to the butt easily, securely and with no leaksIf we're really honest its a bit pricy but on the whole Hoselock are a reasonably quality brandMake sure that you get the right size as these come in several sizes

Good named product actually the only one that fits on weird taps

Not only was delevery promise broke by GPO,it arrived the day after the fial day quoted andconfirmed by you!but was the wrong size to fitmy kitchen mixer tap.My error.so imagine myutter disappointment?

Its a Hozelock fitting for an inside tap connection. Tight fit that seems to hold on waterpressure upto at least 4bar (thats our internal water pressure)

Didn't even fit was too tight and coudnt untighten it.

Works a treat, I should not have bought the other inferior product.
