Works great!
Got it 5 days ago, used it all 5. I love this thing! A tasty way to eat healthier. Made everything from breakfast sandwiches to chicken and avocado Sammy's. Only thing tho, is I wish it took thicker slices of bread better (but it still works with them) so glad I got it!

More Than I Had Hoped For
I bought this Panini maker primarily to grill sandwiches, which I have done successfully, but I didn't think I would use it for grilling as much as I do. On the high setting, it grills some nice hamburgers. Quesadillas are a breeze too. Clean-up is not that hard. I just wipe it down with wet paper towels. I would have liked it better if the plates were removable to wash though. Lots of surface space too.

Quality is okay
I bought another one last year and it was heavy duty, even carrying it felt heavy. This one feels lightweight when I carry it. Not bad, just not the same quality, so I believe it came from another seller.

Reliable and well-rounded
I've tried a few presses and this is my favorite one. Few quick things. It's 1200W which means it'll cook panini's at a good pace. However if you're going to make bacon or sausage, it'll take a little longer than just using a pan - but it's still really good! If you plan to make a lot of meats and cook other things, consider a 1400W press or just other standard kitchen gear like a pan.Two things that make this one really good compared to others I've tried.1. The handle connects at the middle so you get an even press. If you have other presses where the handle is just connected at the top, then unfortunately if you say need to press down a thicker sandwich it'll be a little uneven because of the angle. Sure this one will lift up too but it's flat at the top vs angled.2. The drip tray is in a good location. You may want to pull it out a bit if you are flattening it and want to get both sides but the drip tray is easy to clean and in a good spot vs some others where it is on a corner and makes it a little harder to clean.

Terrible product
Very slow to heat up. Takes 15 minutes to make a panini.Used it for 4 -5 months and it broke. Contacted manufacturer never heard back. Don’t waste your money!

It's adequate as a waffle & sandwich maker
I should pay better attention to the stated sizes here on Amazon. I expected something about twice the size of what I got. However, this is a great size for a small apartment and to make breakfast or lunch for one or two people. If I had more people to cook for, I’d definitely want a larger sized appliance. The manual was not particularly helpful and the company doesn't appear to have a working website, so I turned to the reviews on here, as some people have offered great advice. Susanajl (currently the top review) offers the best waffle making advice (½ cup batter and cook 3 minutes). I learned a few more things through trial and error: 1. Don’t add fruit to the waffle batter (adding blueberries made a huge mess). 2. Oil the cooking plates before adding food (I use a paper towel with a little oil; the non-stick surface isn't very non-stick). 3. Don’t peek before the 3 minutes is up (my first waffles were a mess, because I kept lifting the lid). 4. Pour the 1/2 cup of batter lengthwise down the center of the plates, so when you close the cooker, batter doesn't ooze out the front and/or back.As others have said, crusts must be cut off the bread for best fit, though not all loaves are created equally and some bread may fit just fine. The bread I use fits well with the crusts of 2 sides of the bread cut off. (I store the crusts in the freezer for when I want to make stuffing or meatloaf, so there's no waste.) I found that 3 minutes is the perfect cook time for a sandwich.I have found that it's a good practice to unplug the appliance the last 30 seconds or so of the cook time of the last batch. The appliance is still hot enough to finish cooking and I know that it is unplugged and turned off. Once the appliance if completely cool, the plates pop right out for easy cleaning.
