Bought this for a family vacation to Japan and South Korea from December 14 to 28, 2024. Worked once I turned on data roaming. For Japan, it uses SoftBank and worked in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. For South Korea, it uses SK Telecom and worked in Seoul and Incheon.

Works in Japan, not in Taiwan.Do not believe reviews!

I purchased this since it says I could use in Singapore, South Korea and Japan. When I arrived in Singapore I tried to activate the card. On the instructions it says you can use in Japan. Doesn’t mention the other two. Well it didn’t work in any of the countries. I even went to the Apple store in Singapore to see if they could activate it. Nothing so now I’m stuck paying $12 for each day I was gone. So I’m out $168 plus the cost of this card. Don’t waste your money!

We vacationed this summer to Japan and Taiwan, this sim card really made the trip easier, no more going to 7-11 trying to get free wifi, definitely will buy again.

Data access is good but due to it rerouting through hk(Chinese) some of apps not working properly such as ChatGPT and Amex apps doesn’t recognize my iPhone so it forced to 2nd verification. My yahoo website shows Chinese but it difficult changing to EnglishReceived Chinese updates from SIM card company but no idea what the instructions/information about it
