Good product...leads could be longer
Works as it should. Not extremely powerful but if you are not using a microwave unit then it is powerful enough. Great that it comes with all needed to use. Only down side is the length of the leads. They are very short.

Does not work, cannot ruturn
I ordered this months ago and when I got it I did the preassembly and waited until I had time to actually use it. Set it up today and it does not work, I tried using a different foot switch, tried a different cord and nothing. Amazon site states unconditional full refund or replacement within one year of shipment. Called customer service, was on hold multiple times until I was told the mfg would have to do the refund. Gave me a phone number and when I called the person said he owns the trademark, but he did not make these units and Amazon is illegally selling them. Just great.UPDATE-shortly after this was posted I received an email from CoolNeon telling me they would give me a full refund and all I had to do was reply with the words FULL REFUND. 2 days later I checked to see if I had received the refund and did not see it so I emailed to ask when it would be processed. That was Nov 11, the response was to ask me for a photo of the assembled product. I told them I threw it away, Next they offered me a replacement, after all this mess I did not want it, I wanted the original offer a full refund. Nov 15th they said they refunded me half of the purchase price and would refund the rest when I returned the product, that I had already told them I got rid of. I finally told them that they made me an offer of a full refund with no contingencies on returning the product and I accepted the offer and if they did not honor it, I would take the next legal steps to get my money. I was finally refunded the rest.

Easy to set up.
I used this on a practice piece, and it looks amazing. There is a power switch on the one cord, and a foot pedal for safety. Easy to use for beginners.

Great value
The media could not be loaded. I read the reviews on this product and took a chance and bought it. I will say one thing this is a great pice of equipment. I was impressed by the quality of wiring and most importantly the safety equipment. The peddle switch is the key to safety. Wet your wood with baking soda solution, position your leads then turn on the transformer. The further apart that you place your leads the longer it takes for the action to start. Word of advice do this in a well ventilated area, as this does produce smoke from the burning. Safety tip never touch the leads while they are energized. You could have a very shocking experience.

Works as it should just takes a while.
Well built. Easy to use, functions as it should. The only complaint is how long it takes to get a good burn, decent value for the money.

Safe to use if following proper procedures
I was considering the purchase of a much more expensive, and I assume better performing, unit. I really didn't know where I would go with this, and I wanted to try Lichtenberg burning with a small investment. I use the footswitch to activate the burn while standing a few feet away, no danger there. I only move the probes when the unit is off, and I only move one at a time, with one hand, so even if it were on, I wouldn't be exposed to current through my body (though one could still be shocked). As a teenager, I regularly messed around with neon light transformers, Tesla coils, Jacob's Ladders, and the like, so I felt that this would probably be much safer than what I did way back when, and it is.As demonstrated by Edison years ago, 60 Cycle AC is dangerous for causing heart arrhythmia, and it is especially dangerous when using AC at high voltage, in this case, 10 kV. I suppose one could use the provided gloves and move the probes while burning, but I don't trust the gloves to that degree.Bottom line, it works well enough, so if it holds up, I will be quite happy with it.
