Easy to install
Easy to install, and the directions will answer the questions. Keep in mind that the monitor you put on it has weight, and that will affect things. Gets the monitor off the desk - since I am out of room on my desk for monitors, this has helped.

Sturdy Monitor Mount with Wide Range of Motions
The mount attaches to a wooden stud in the wall. You must first find the stud that is in the right place. Then you must consider where you want to monitor to rest, decide how far up it needs to be, then where the bottom of the mount should be relative to your desk or bench top. Probe sheetrock to find the sides of the proper stud with an awl or a 1/16-in drill. The bottom hole in the mount goes in the middle of the stud. Mark the location of this hole to put the mount in the right vertical location. Carefully make a shallow pilot hole (maybe 1/8-in diameter and deep) in the sheet rock (twist a drill with your fingers), then drill the bolt pilot hole straight into the sheetrock and stud. Bolt the mount to the wall almost tight. Hold the mount vertical (use a small level for this) then carefully mark the two upper holes. Rotate the mount out of the way, make two shallow holes in the sheetrock, then drill two pilot holes. Rotate the mount up, install other two lag bolts. After that, installation is easy: thread power and HDMI cables through the mount's arms and connect them, apply power, position monitor where you want it. Be prepared to tighten or loosen the joints in the mount so that it holds the monitor but is moveable.

Great wall mount 4.5 stars
This monitor mount is great. The install was pretty easy. The only reason I give it a 4.5 is because it did not come with a wrench for the bolts. That would've helped a lot but it's no the end of the world. It is pretty sturdy and made of good material. I'm not worried at all about it falling all of a sudden. I probably went overkill cause my monitor is super light so it puts no strain on the arm. It has a wide range of motion and looks nice on my wall. I can tell it will last a while and was definitely worth the price. It has a whole bunch of instructions as well for what to be careful of

Stud Bolts are Garbage
Bolts strip really easily, be sure on the top two holes to aim a bit inwards to actually hit the stud.

Great monitor swival.
I love this, I literally use it everyday since I have a small apartment and its my TV and computer. Have had no issues after I got it mounted. If I had a gripe, I would say the fasteners provided was not the best and I quickly stripped the screws but that my fault for not using pilot holes and plus my walls are super old and not typical wood studs. Overall, great mount for a monitor.

Great Mount that does the job
I hooked up a 32" Asus Monitor that weighs about 13lbs to this mount and it has been very sturdy. It has adjustments for tilt, pivot and height. There is a gas shock inside the mount which you can increase/decrease the tension on by turning the screw with the included hex key. Once you tighten it to the right amount you can freely raise or lower the monitor easily. There are two plastic pieces that you can pull off and stick the wires in to hide them. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a good mount that's not crazy expensive.
