A premium SSD that delivers on its promises. A fantastic investment!
The **WD_BLACK SN850X 4TB SSD** has been an absolute game-changer for my mini PC setup, delivering top-tier performance that exceeds expectations. As an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD with PCIe Gen4 compatibility, it boasts incredible read speeds of up to 7300 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6600 MB/s, making it one of the fastest drives on the market. After installing it in my mini PC, I immediately noticed a massive improvement in load times for games and applications. Games that used to take minutes to load now start almost instantly, providing a seamless and immersive gaming experience. To put it to the test, I ran **CrystalDiskMark**, and the results were impressive: **6938.39 MB/s read speed** and **6616.51 MB/s write speed**, which are very close to the advertised speeds. This level of performance is exceptional, especially for a high-capacity 4TB drive. The SSD handles everything I throw at it—whether it’s gaming, multitasking, or transferring large files—with ease and reliability. The compact design of the WD_BLACK SN850X makes it perfect for mini PCs, where space is often limited. Despite its small size, it doesn’t compromise on performance or capacity. The 4TB storage is more than enough for my extensive game library, work files, and multimedia projects, eliminating the need for additional drives. In conclusion, the **WD_BLACK SN850X 4TB SSD** is a powerhouse of speed, reliability, and capacity. It’s an excellent choice for gamers, content creators, and anyone who demands high performance from their storage solution. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their system with a premium SSD that delivers on its promises. A fantastic investment!

Excellent product!
Absolutely awesome drive, super-fast, super sturdy. Well worth the money.I upgraded my system from a 1TB WD_BLACK SN850 I'd managed to fill up.I was able to clone my installed 1TB System drive onto this new 2TB one in an enclosure without any issues, then just swapped the drives over and the PC booted right up and Windows didn't even seem to care it was running off a different drive.Faster and with more capacity, it's noticeably improved Windows performance. My old drive is now going to be used for the latest games (like Starfield) that require SSD's to run effectively... And of course, Skyrim will go on there... :)

Fast, Huge Storage, and Runs Smooth
Picked up the 4TB WD_BLACK SN850X for my gaming rig and it’s been awesome. Install was super easy, and right away I noticed how fast games load—seriously quick. Read and write speeds are as advertised, and everything just runs smoother overall.Tons of space too, so I don’t have to constantly delete stuff to make room. Temps have been stable, and performance hasn’t dipped at all even under heavy use.If you're into gaming or just want a beast of an SSD, this one’s solid. Definitely worth it.

Plug, play, 2Tb of speed
I was looking to upgrade my storage for project work that was bottlenecking due to the slower storage of my bulk HDD. Prices have dropped so much for NVMe drives and I got this for less than I'd previously paid for 4Tb of old school hard drive. The form factor is as you'd expect, easy to install, worked first time (on Windows 10) without any issues. Can't comment on any temperature issues because my mobo has a heatsink system specifically for NVMe drives so heat has not been an issue - do check your own system to see if you need to grab a 3rd party heatsink; they're super easy to install. So far I've dropped about 60Gb onto the drive and it's been swift and with no problems. I've so far had zero problems with any WD drives so this is just more of the same. If you can get this for a good price, I'd recommend it.

Fantastic Gen4 SSD with DRAM
I bought the 4TB ver when it was on sale for £208, and at that price, it's hands-down the best Gen 4 SSD deal you could ask for. Its reputation for top-tier performance, quality build, and solid reliability is well documented over the years. I bought mine specifically for demanding tasks, a mix of heavy workloads, gaming, and general everyday computing.Even at its usual price, the SN850X is right up there with the best Gen 4 drives that include DRAM, like the Samsung 990 Pro and Crucial T500. It strikes a great balance: more affordable than the 990 Pro with performance that feels very similar in day-to-day use, while offering better sustained write speeds under heavy load compared to the T500, which is a plus for large file transfers or content creation. For console use, it's the same, a top tier choice, keep in mind you will need a heatsink for it if that's your usage, either a third party or official one (more expensive). However, if you're a budget gamer, you'd be just fine with a cheaper DRAM-less SSD.Just a heads-up, the actual usable space you get after formatting is about 3.6TB. This is normal for SSDs due to space reserved for performance and longevity (over-provisioning).Getting this drive for £208 was a no-brainer for a top-end, high-capacity SSD with DRAM. If you need speed for demanding applications and gaming, and especially if you see it near that sale price, grab it. Highly recommended!
