While not entirely faithful to the original Super Powers line, this version of Superman is a delight in his own right. I like how close the retro packaging is to the original range, so this might be a rare 'Rule of Two' for me (buy one to take out of the packaging and another to keep mint on card - something I rarely do).The only negative is the way the cape has been held in place in its packaging, by forcing a plastic tag through it that leaves a small but unsightly hole in the cape. What were they thinking? As the cape is longer than the one on the Superman from the original Super Powers line, you might consider trimming it to get rid of the damaged area, but that could cause problems of its own. Anyway, that's why this figure doesn't get the full five stars it would otherwise deserve.

Nice updated version of Superman from the 84 super powers line. The only nitpick is the Cape has a small hole in it from the tab but you can get a replacement cape somewhere else whilst not having the Action feature of the original, still a fun item.

Packed in a large brown paper bag and the cardback was bent. Figure is good but a poor way to send something in the post.

Dont order from Amazon or this supplier if you are a MOC collector of DC Super Powers.The item was shipped to me in a thin brown paper envelope with no internal protection. The bubble had a dent in the corner and a crack in the side bubble where i could fit my finger through and a creased backcard, luckily i wasnt bothered as i am not a mint on card figure collector and take them off card. Even the figure supplied by Amazon i ordered only came in a thin outer carboard sleeve which was better but still not very well protected.The figure however is great with the exception of McFarlane using plastic tags to secure the cape to the packaging which leaves a small hole when removed (Mentioned in the toy media). The cape is also very poorly made sewn, fortunatley they have fixed both of these issues on the later series releases.
