Q: Will this fit a 03 recon es?

If your recon is a250cc them yes it woll fit. The diameter of the throttle body for a 250 and 350 are identical, however the primary and secondary jets are smaller by . 001 inches on the 250cc than on the 350cc. So yes this carberator will work on a 350cc as well as on a 250cc. Your perfomance on the 350cc will however experiance a slight defeciency in pwr due to the difference in jet diameter

It bolted right up to a 2000 recon and worked perfectly. I don't know if it will fit your ride.

Q: Will the slide and needle from the original Honda Carburetor work on your carburetor? i have the original carburetor on my 2000 honda recon trx250.

I was going to rebuild my original carburetor as well but saw the price for a new one and went that rout. The carburetor didn’t match up with my cable so I exchanged it for a new carburetor and cable package and it fired up and had ran great for the past two years. I also live at sea level so I didn’t make any adjustments from what the factory had made. Money well spent vs the hassle of outer market parts not working properly. Good luck.
