This worked better than I thought it would. When I replaced the toilet seats years ago, I made some plastic bushings (the black parts in this photo) to make the screws fit tighter in the holes in the bowl. They didn't work. The seat was still wobbly enough to be annoying. The seat now has no wiggle since I got rid of my black bushings and installed this kit.Note: I have brass screws holding the seat onto the bowl. The plastic screwdriver supplied with the kit would probably work fine on plastic screws, but will not fit a brass screwhead and is not strong enough if the screws are tight. You will need a common flat blade screwdriver. You'll also want to have a small screwdriver or knife to pry up the plastic caps covering the screws.I have to say I am surprised how well these work. The parts supplied with the kit are rubber and will snug things down quite well.One other thing you might want to have on hand is a hand mirror, just to get a look to see that everything is straight before you tighten down the nut. The wrench was plenty strong even with metal screws. I found it easier to turn the screwdriver than the wrench, but the wrench is easy to hold on to.5 stars. And it's practically free.Be prepared to consider some cleaning that you can't get to normally. A spray bottle of cleaner and paper towels are handy to have at hand.

This is a simple tool to use and can breathe new life into your toilet seat. I kinda miss riding the old seat and pulling it back in place, but that's all gone now. My toilet seat works like new again! Darn!

Otherwise, you can use a large coin like a quarter, -as a flat-blade screwdriver. A "Z" shaped steel screwdriver would be more sturdy and have both a flat blade and a Phillips screwdriver. For rusted nuts, or rounded off square nylon nuts, you could also add a cheap pair of pliers from a supermarket or drugstore. Finger tighten, or use plastic wrench only. Nylon threads can be stripped if over tightened. If threads become stripped, adding a cone washer, or a couple of flat rubber or nylon washers, could back off the nut enough to give it some threads to work with. If the cone washers are too small to grip the porcelain holes, add some flat rubber washers as well. Put all these kit items in a Ziplock bag, with a rubber band helping to keep the bag closed. The "Screwdriver" part of this tool is completely useless. It's made if very soft plastic, and it bent so badly while tightening first screw it was unusable for the second. However, the handle/wrench that fits under the seat to hold the nut works great. It slides into the hard to reach opening and holds nut securely so it can be tightened with appropriate screwdiverNot a bad tool for under $5 and handy to have around, just make sure you have a real screwdriver handy

The product description says, "Tool kit fits all seat sizes." This is deceptive because it isn't the seat size that matters, but the size of the bolt holes in the toilet itself, and the supplied washers are too large to fit inside the bolt holes on my toilet (a Kohler Cimmeron). While they are flexible and can be crammed into the holes, the washer is "bunched up" inside the bolt hole, which prevents the bolt from sliding through. Waste of money, waste of time, toilet seat still slides.Also note that the "Product Dimensions" data in the description's Technical Details product description gives the dimensions for the supplied wrench, which is utterly useless information. There is no size data for the washers, which is what has to fit on your toilet. My recommendation is find another product as there is no way to know before ordering whether or not the washers will fit your toilet.Finally, the included screwdriver is pretty worthless. As soon as the bolt begins to tighten in the nut, the head of the screwdriver fails and twists. An actual screwdriver, a coin, or your fingers are all better tools than this screwdriver.

The plastic washers are incredible -- easy to install and works like a charm! 1 pack (6 washers) repairs 3 wiggly toilet seats. A couple points to know: (1) does not fit all toilet seat applications -- worked on three of four that I wanted to use them for and (2) the plastic wrench and screw driver are useless -- just plan to use your own screw driver and can hold the bolt with your hand. Notwithstanding that the plastic tools are useless, this is an incredible value!
