The Hat Depot Unisex Light Weight Classic Soft Cool Mesh Pork Pie hat

I was excited to get this hat but the center doesn't "form" as depicted in examples. Center surrounded by the indented edge...nope. It sits high like a Bowler hat. For the price, it wasn't worth returning, just wanted to let anyone know, if my purchase is an indication of what to expect.

Ok, I love hats but they don’t always love me for two reasons, I’m getting older, almost 60? And I have a small head like a child, so a perfect fit is almost impossible without tying the string or adding band. I just got inducted into red hats with the gals and need a red hat for purple outfit. And red is not my color. So I’m thinking I’ll just return it if I don’t love it. I read the reviews of many of the lowest priced hats and decided on this one. Oh my, I just received it and not returning it. The color is beautiful and the style is dynomite- it is soft vs. older, so it flexible, light weight and just a great design for anyone. Very excellent little hat which I am so looking forward to wearing to my first event coming in two days. Highly recommend. Oh I measure about 21 1/4 inches and got the small. It fits neither snug nor loose. It just fits. Not sure this helps, but this hat is worth a try, again for anyone!

The hat is very poorly made. The materials used are very cheap, and don't forgive much. The design of the sweat band inside the hat is pretty much paper, and sticks to your head when taking the hat off. I was really looking forward to this hat being at least a 3 star hat, but in good conscience it barely deserves 1. I'd say that in the unlikely event that it's received in perfect condition, you'll get maybe 1 or 2 full days of use out of it before it starts to fall apart like mine.

This is a great hat. I live in Florida where it is hot most of the year. I play in a swing band and hats of this style are part of the "uniform". I always ended up taking off my hat as it was just too hot. I gambled and bought this hat because it was lightweight, is made of a mesh material and was priced right. I LOVE IT. IT IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED. It looks great. It fits well and appears to be well made. I have crunched it a few times and it pops right back into shape. Since it is polyester, it also probably will not get sweat stains as my felt and wool hats do. But most of all, THE HAT IS COOL. The mesh allows your head to breath. If you need a hat for hot weather, this hat is awesome. Lastly, and most importantly, the hat LOOKS GREAT. I received compliments the first time I wore it. Great hat! I just ordered a different style from the same line so I would have another.

The construction quality of this hat is very bad. Loose threads and stitches everywhere. The cloth on the inside is cut at strange angles and hanging out. As another person said the top pops up. Wanted a hat for inside or warm weather that wasn't too hot. This might become a sweat mop. I'd say this is a 8 dollar hat and 10 tops "if" it were in better shape. It is however comfortable and can wick up some sweat. Not wearing it after trying it on and going to show my significant other before I decide if it should go back. Without all the defects it could be a cool hat for some people. Best to burn the loose threads down with Care instead of pulling on them but always be careful as some materials could go right up in smoke. It came crushed but did pop back into place. The brim is solid and The logo is cool as opposed to having a weird no-name brand on a hat. If I feel better about it later and my Love likes it then I'll keep it and save us the hassle but the price on the item is waaaay too high. I like the mesh idea.

I love this hat and will soon be buying another in a bright color for summer. It's important for me to keep the sun off the top of my head as I walk anywhere from 10 -16 miles a day. This serves the purpose nicely and is a step up from the basic ski hats I wear in the winter to keep my head warm as well. The hat looks a bit goofy on me but that's what I was going for: something out of the ordinary to bring a smile to everyone's face as I pass by. Even my dogs love it !The inside string helps to make a perfect fit for each individual head and it stays put even though there may be a little wind 'round the bend. I couldn't find anything like this and at this reasonable price here in my local stores.I think it'll make you happy.

Very soft - I’d say too soft. Almost floppy, with little structure. Almost. I’ve found that hats kinda look better if they aren’t ‘perfect’ - it adds character. So this fits that - it’s not perfect, almost looks beat up because it’s so flexible and soft. The brim has some stiffness, so it maintains some shape - it’s the top that is sort of ‘flimsy’. Honestly, I’d prefer a little more stiffness/structure, but I can live with what it is.I suppose the lack of structure makes this the most ‘packable’ hat I own. As cheap as it is, I’m also not too concerned about permanently misshaping it.True to color - this is definitely a bright ‘royal’ blue.Also, I think this is the first hat I’ve bought that has come with some sizing/fillers. I don’t know what to call them. If the hat is too big you put them in the headband to make it fit better.

Purchased for my husband’s Halloween costume (Heisenberg-Breaking Bad) and I wasn’t given much notice so this arrived quickly and he has a large head so appreciated that the XL size fit. “Say My Name”
