Best piece of stereo equipment I own.
This head unit is a supreme upgrade to any system. I was able to remove my signal processor and the quality went way up. Full of features has everything a modern head unit should have and the screen is amazing.

Don't forget the Plastic piece!
Almost returned this, thinking it was defective because it would turn on then turn off after a few seconds. Did some research and found out that you have to put a little plastic piece where the screen connects. It does state in the manual to install this but doesn't say it won't work without it. Turns out there is a small switch that the tabs of the plastic piece activate, enabling the unit to stay on. When it does come on.... Man the sound is amazing and had to turn down my amps. There are a lot of settings, and for the average consumer may be a little overwhelming , but if an audiophile geek you would appreciate it. BTW you will have to buy a separate unit to access Sirus XM. Which at the price should be included.

Software needs work.
First let me say that the display and layout on this head unit is great. Love that it plays Hi-res audio... There are some drawbacks, and it all seems to be software related. Except the cameras.1) Every so often the unit locks up. Can't change source, adjust volume, etc. Sometimes the source being shown is not what is actually in use. Only way to get it working again it to power it off and restart.2) "Tidal" when utalized through android auto works flawlessly, however, if you use the "built in" version installed on the unit itself, there's some issues. When playing a Playlist in "random", I get a LOT of repeats, often within ten songs or less. "Random" when seeking forward works ok, but if it's on and you attempt to go back to the begining of a track, it "randomly" picks a song (not the one currently being played) . Moving a Playlist to my "favorites" was confusing with poor instructions.3) SiriusXM has a "Pandora" feature that I have YET to get to work. Even SiriusXM staff were stumped. The option is there in the setting but greyed out.4) Camera connections are proprietary to Alpine. You do get an extra adapter for a second camera, but if it's HDR, forget it. This unit only recognizes PAL and NTSC. Additionally, if one is installed in the front, there's no way to flip the image from standard to mirrored view. Images will be reversed.5) The last big issue for me is the switching between WiFi and Bluetooth. My phone allows both to run at the same time. This unit doesn't. For example, the Tidal app. If I use android auto, I can use the app and ALL it's features. If I try to switch to the built in app on this unit, it has to shut off my Android auto connection and start a Wifi connection (all for a very Minimal version of the app). Same for SiriusXM.As I said, it seems that these are really software related. I will say that I absolutely love using a Firestick thru the HDMI connection (again, must be WiFi). On my breaks I can watch YouTube, Vudu, etc. Hope this info helps.
