Disappointed, too many errors noted to be trustworthy
I have always purchased and read the Washington Manual of Medicine and have loved every edition. This is my first purchase of the Washington Manual of Outpatient Internal Medicine. It will be my last. I am only on page 400/1000 and have found dozens of errors, some typographical and some factual. If there was proof-reading prior to publication, they did a poor job of it. Or maybe there was no proofreading? I have issues trusting content accuracy because of the sloppy writing. For instance on page 402 in regards to Diabetes Mellitus… “inhibitors of the renin-angiotensin system (angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors and aldosterone receptor blockers (ARB)) are especially useful for the treatment of patients with DM, HTN, and albuminuria or established CVD….”. This should have been stated as “angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB)”—-big difference. I suggest the editors carefully read their own creation and they will see what I am speaking of.

No mention of Covid-19
Broad coverage of outpatient internal medicine. A bit disappointing that there is no mention of Covid-19 whatsoever.

big error or no review
in first chapter; hypertension definition was WRONG, based on 2014 JNC not more recent one of 2017. Unacceptable !! I was ready throw the book since I became skeptical about the accuracy and reliability . Chapter was supposedly written by a resident and the director of the primary care program ! they could not take 5 min to make sure what they said is correct and up to date in a very simple chapter
