Anytime Tools 5 Piece 3/8" Mini Lathe Indexable Carbide Insert Tool Bit Set

These tools work great in my 7x10 mini lathe. They are best used in a quick change tool post so the center line can be quickly adjusted. They cut great and I'm very happy with the quality.

Good, solid little indexable carbide setup. They cut well, and are a lot less expensive than the competition. The only thing I would do differently is purchase one of the big boy's sets of carbides for it, as the inserts that come with this set arent top quality. Other than that, they work rather well!

I've bought my share of cheap, inexpensive, and expensive tools in my time, and I have to say that these are the good type of inexpensive! The holders are very simple in design, yet sturdy, and the carbide bits they come with are very sharp and cut stainless steel like butter! I have also had good luck threading with the threading attachment. Where my previous, more expensive, carbide inserts chipped during prolonged threading, this one keeps on going, continuing to make beautiful threads!

The insert cutters included in the set would not cut mild steel, it just squeals... it may be good enough for aluminum. The holders are pretty decent, but then again, can be expected from the low price. I suggest buying quality inserts when buying this set.

This product is my second order. This comes in an (8) piece set, Id say. You have 2 45 degree bits (lnr ofc), 2 90, and one center. It also comes with two wrenches AND a screw set. You know, for all us amateurs out there ^_-. My only regret is missing a level bit, straight bit, whatever (still learning, the flat one). Overall, the wooden box is nice, fits well in my lathe toolbox, and I have enjoyed the bits ^_^.

First I have used inserts , at this time am very pleased. Turned a brass peace to make a tool for carburetor adjustment. Heavy cuts the material just rolled off the insert, final cut was so small you could hardly see material being remove. Great finish. Will have to try some steel next. Very happy with the purchase.

Great value for money! Inserts are easy to find when they wear out, but I haven't worn mine out yet. Cutting 304 stainless tubing on a full size lathe, leaves clean looking long swarf just like it should!
