Very satisfied, verified purchaser with a whole collection of Arnis/Tai Chi/Kung Fu staffs and blades, this was only $5
I gave this 6 inch ball point pen 5 stars, WHY? Despite what some said, it is both a very functional ball point pen which fits my small somewhat 'shaky' hand like the more expensice padded ones you might find in plastic for up to 10 bucks US. It appears to be high quality metal. And has a nice CLIP on it for wearing in your shirt pocket if you would like. I am not so excited about using Kubaton style short sticks, or this pen in a 'close in' attack by perps out to knock me down, or kill me and take my wallet, or worse. I prefer a longer 'stick' and the options of droping that close in and engaging 'coils, plucks, strikes, defense blocks or wrist lock take down schemes, or out right maiming the perp by breaking arms, legs- whatever it takes to get them down and out in 3 or 5 seconds. But make no mistake. This is a formable defensive tool in the right hands. Combined with a block, or coil on an opponents jab, one could easily ram this device down their wind gullet just below the adams apple for devastating, instantly debilitating effects if not out right termination. Under the jaw and UP into the Brainiac's soft palate and brain stem. Effective too on pressure points through out the body, but if I am going to fight for my life, close in... i might not even take this out of my pocket. BUT... with training/ arnis style... this could be very effective. Again 5 stars and as for the quality. If it were made in the US it might sell for 35 bucks. I can see that the ink cartridges are replaceable with a standard from a finer stationary store, and the device as stated is more comfortable for me to write with WITH better legibility than a BIC pen. AS NOTED by CRITIQUES, this pen's screw tip, and it does screw open and closed to expose the writing head~ has a small rubber O Ring on it which keeps the rotating head in place. So, anyone who wanted to go RAMBO on wood or a tree or Tin Cans just to see how it would work, would be a fool for it probably WOULD break that O ring and you would have to go to Home Depot or somewhere and find another (which I am sure I can do if that time comes) But to carry in your pocket daily and use as your primary ink writing instrument? Kudos and long lasting quality if you are careful with it. And if the time comes you have to ram it some PERPS windpipe, who cares if it gets broken if it takes said PERP down INSTANTLY to the floor, or the Grave... and for 5 bucks, including shipping, WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE? Got here in CA in only 10 days from China too. Nice. Top end (non writing end has a very sharp GLASS breaker which might be dangerous if you had to draw this out of your pocket in a hurry. But that is only a small detail that you can work around with your own defensive and strategic plan.

This is a TACTICAL PEN FIRST then a writing implement second.
Hello all!To settle the debate is simple, if you ordered a tactical pen, that's what you got! This is a TACTICAL PEN FIRST then a writing implement second.I love this tactical pen first, because it'll save my and other peoples lives if there's an accident and the only way out is a window of my car, THIS WILL BREAK A CAR WINDOW IN SECONDS! That's why the tip is pointy and right behind it is heavily grooved if you call it that grip say your hands are covered with slippery blood, oil, water, swamp you name it, you can still grip the pen to break windows in your car saving lives. Then there is the TACTICAL side, you can use BOTH ENDS to protect yourself. When your talking lives here, a good smack of the window breaker in the head or face will EXTREEMLY HURT someone weather it be in the temple you could kill the person, anywhere else, extreem pain and possibly blood to get in their eyes or just stunn and scare them enough for you to get away. You can use the pen side to jab in neck or armpit, ribs you name it, it'll hurt. Then run! Then when using it as a pen, it's a lot lighter than others I've bought so my shirt pocket won't always be tipped open or looking like I have a brick in my shirt pocket! Yes the pen cartridge is JUST a plain ole cartridge, it writes, yes I did put BOLD FISCHER SPACE PEN CARTRIDGES IN ALL MY PENS so I can write on a wall when a desk isn't handy or the window of my car over the hood or roof to damage the paint. The smooth vertical grooves do make it a bit slippery when writing, but I always change grip on all my pens for comfort and keeping my hand cool. It is a slight drawback, but heck it's a $10 kickass pen, plus the $6.00 Fischer pen replacement because I'm anal, the insets that came with them are fine to use in my regular house pens when it isn't a huge deal writing something, but when I'm on the road I want it to work 100% right off and it does with the Fischer, no temp affects them, water, oil, grease nothing, that's for the road and protection. So in closing for $10 I think it is more than acceptable, but sturdy with a strong clip so you don't lose it. For those who put them in their pants pocket, just make sure you slide it all the way up or down and you won't gouge you fingers or knuckles.FYI, there was an issue with my order and they fixed the issue VERY QUICKLY and made the fix and added something to make me happy for the issue we had and I thank them very much for going the extra to make me happy.. GOOD JOB FOLKS! I'll be buying more from them because of their customer service.I hope this help you all make the correct decision and buy these as you can't go wrong!
