My 6 year old is very smart and likes projects that challenge him. I figured origami would be great cause it even challenges me! This one seemed age appropriate for him with its guiding lines and animal faces. I really am surprised at the large variety of shapes. Some are easier and some are more challenging. I had to reacquaint myself with what a double square and triangle were but luckily right in the beginning of the instruction manual it shows you how to fo all these. Once you know those, you know how to do all the basic shapes. Each shape lists what it is and what page it can be found on. There are 54 pages so just loads of stuff to create making it a great value set. It’s a hobby that takes precision and patience and it wonderful for my son to keep him occupied. The paper quality is nice as well

Got this for our 8 year old for Christmas and she loves it. She has already done a lot of them, and there are still tons left to do (300 is a LOT!). There are three each of 100 different designs. Some are pretty easy, but others are a bit tricky. Overall a really fun art kit for busy hands. Most are pretty neutral like animals, pencils, ice cream cone, etc., but there are dresses, skirts and bathing suit patterns included for those wondering what's included.
