The book is certainly meritorious. Though addressed to the general reader still the author respects the underlying science, at times complex and counter-intuitive, avoiding oversimplification. He is considerate to the reader by frequently summarizing the preceding text. There is a smooth transition in the sequence of chapters with the author, invariably, at the concluding lines of each introducing the following and explaining how they are related. The illustrations are fascinating not simply for being beautiful but also because they serve as a highlight and a pictorial summary of the chapter they belong to. This book is absolutely amazing, i think that it is absolutely perfect if you want to learn about the immune system in simple terms and easy to understand language. This book is also really interesting and didn’t disappoint me. I love watching Kurzgesagt channel on YouTube and this book is just as good and even more detailed then his videos on the immune system.

This book was a recommended read by a tutor of food hygiene. My mind is blown, thank you for taking the time to explain this fascinating world in a digestible way. It is a truly stunning book and has bolstered my new knowledge of the world of bacteria and how not to create food that will cause harm to others (a much less easy to digest subject!).
