Apparently I have small ears/earhole
I've always had issues with earbuds - earbuds that everyone loves just doesn't stay in my ear. even if they manage to "hook in", there's usually a gap of some kind, making it super hard to really use.It took until buying these earplugs (and reading the reviews talking about these being for smaller ears), that I realize that I actually have small ears LOLFor the record I have tried other earplugs before and they always had the issue of falling out of my ear as well (same issue as earbuds), so if those were standard sized earplugs, then I think this explains everything! goodness the kind of epiphany you learn about yourself when buying from amazon.in any case, I really liked that there isn't a boatload of earplugs in this set, and it's still ultra affordable/cheap and not inflated in price for not being bulk sized. They're squishy and foams up nicely, and they were able to block about 80% of train horns blasting outside my window (my windows are double paned but doesn't block the train noises out completely, of course they don't). I got these because the tracks outside my condo started to have more frequent overnight train deliveries, and they're obligated to blast the damned horns at every crossing - even at 4am.In any case, for anyone else who had issues with earbuds not staying in, but find these earplugs fits perfectly, I recommend getting the Panasonic ErgoFit In-Ear Earbud Headphones RP-HJE120-K here on amazon - those are the only earbuds that fits my ear perfectly. Fellow small-eared folks help eachother out!

Most Effective and Comfortable Earplugs...if you have a smaller ear canal
I've been a professional drummer for 30 years and have worn earplugs regularly the whole time. Since we got our pug 5 years ago however, I've been using plugs nightly because she sleeps in our room and snores like a 280 lb longshoreman! Out of the 100's of ear plugs I've worn, these are the most effective and comfortable for my size ears. They are a perfect fit so they block a ton of sound and they don't stick out of my ears like the larger ones do. This makes them ideal for side sleeping. They also not uncomfortable after extended wear like other plugs are.Since I didn't know I had a smaller diameter ear canal, I took a chance on getting these the first time. There is only 7 pair so I figured the risk was minimal. I'm so glad I did because I will always get these now.

Blocks out snoring!
I bought these for sleeping since my husband snores at night. They do work really well. I'm only giving them 4 stars since for me they become uncomfortable after a few hours and I have to pull them out.

Worthwhile earplugs for limited use.
These are worthwhile ear plugs for limited use. I have used these before when working in loud environments and they help reduce the noise level so you aren't damaging your hearing. Also, I tend to use these earplugs to help me sleep when traveling. They work well, however, they cannot be used multiple times. It seems to decrease their ability to effectively block out noise with repeated use.

Excellent Ear Plugs
Great ear plugs! They block out a huge amount of the sounds around me. The only drawback is that they're a little big for my ears, so I cannot fully insert them, but they still do a great job at silencing some of the major outside sounds.

Doesn't seal very well.
This 3M earplugs are too soft and doesn't retain its shape well resulting on a poor seal within the ear opening. There are other brands of disposable earplugs that retain their shape well and are easily to mode to fit ear opening. Avoid this product.

Smaller than normal
Note to buyers, these are smaller than they look or than you expected. I am a petite female at 5' 3" at 100 lbs, so my ears are smaller.... lol. These do not fit snug enough so I actually reverse them when inserting in the ears -- I put the butt end (the wider base) into the ears.A great tip for swimmers, these are the types of earplugs I use at the pool, because they allow you to hear your surroundings, and still keep water out! Better than gummy putty earplugs that most swimmers use, because those are more expensive, people keep them longer and end up with more bacteria and ear gunk stuck to them....
