Otis Technology Ripcord for 9mm .380 Cal.38 Cal, 357 Mag, 22.5-Inch

I use this at range to provide easy/quick pass-through cleaning of bore while barrel hot, and before any fouling has had chance to set. DOES NOT replace full cleaning of pistol, but does make it a lot easier and quicker to get a quality cleaning later. Seems to be fairly durable, and reasonably priced--does NOT have the imbedded bronze bristles like the Hoppe's Viper boresnake, but does the cleaning needed at a fair savings in $$.

Easy to use. Just make sure you have a good cleaner. Say goodbye to patches and cleaning rods which could harm the barrel. I clean my rifles after each use. It's easy enough with a snake. Does not have a bristle brush in the snake. You won't need it unless you clean your guns once a year.

Just meh cleaning, even adjusting expectations for a bore snake (Sig P320F).After following instructions, still was able to get a non-trivial amount of fouling from the bore with swabs, past what I'm willing to accept for a snake. Will stick with the RealAvid Bore Boss my g/f has... which has a non-trivial number of advantages over the Ripcord -- including, it works better than expected.

This thing is simple, yet efficient. I bring it to the range with me. After firing several magazines worth of ammo, I will run this through the barrel and it keeps it free of dust. Still need to have an actual supply of cleaning products to truly clean firearms, but for in between cleaning while at the range, this thing rocks!

I'm sure this works just fine, I just don't' like that the brass endcaps smack around in the barrel as you pull it through. The one I got for my 9mm and .22 do this. The one I got for my 12 guage works without doing it though. I doubt the endcaps will nick the barrel I just don't wanna chance it.
