Studebaker Sound Station Portable Stereo Boombox with Bluetooth/CD/AM-FM Radio/Cassette Recorder (Black)

Ok so it does look nice. I tried all functions. All went great. Bluetooth to I phone no problem. Tape deck plays and records nice. Probly better than expected Light show is cool, however I did notice some buzzing in the speakers when the lights are on Not horrible. But it’s there. Kill the lights when using the cassettes to record Only real complaint is the little wimpy fm antenna. I mean it’s really not at all impressive. And doesn’t pull in too many channels overall it is worth the money. It has decent sound nice functions I like it so far. Not sorry for this purchase. Update. Two days into use and all is well. Tried using a aux cord from my phone instead of Bluetooth for recording to cassette works the best. If you use type 2 tapes you gotta back way off your treble. Add almost full bass. And put your phone equalizer on bass full. Also I added a 5 foot antenna and pull in tons of stations. Just remember to turn off the lights when recording anything to cassettes. It is a decent boombox. Just order it. HUGE update. After a few weeks still love this thing. However the speaker lights became annoying with the unwanted noise in ever single function selection. So I opened it up and disconnected the silly lights from the circuit board. This was simple and takes more time putting the screws back in. Now this thing is about 8 times better sounding. And only has the vu meter lights and the tuner dial lit up. Perfect.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of this unit. I didn't expect it to have the sound of my Definitive Technology tower speakers and it doesn't but it looks very high tech and sounds very good---no distortion at all. Besides, it is loaded with features. The Bluetooth paired easily with my phone, the CD's play wonderfully and the cassette deck is very good with no hissing noise. I got the black one and it looks like a unit from a recording studio. Kudos to the engineers who envisioned this unit and brought their ideas to fruition.

I've tested all functions i.e. CD (including CDs I made on my computer), cassette tapes, AM/'FM radio and all operated perfectly with better sound and volume than I had expected. The unit is attractive and shows well. The cassette controls are somewhat cheaply built but work okay if used with care. All in all, very pleased with this purchase!

This boombox is pretty good. Sound is OK. If you're like me and listen to mp3s, and depending where you got them, the songs won't be consistent and you will be adjusting knobs ever so often. Some songs louder or softer than others and clarity will be mixed. Adjusting treble and bass alot. Not a deal breaker, I expected that. I will try a normal cd if I can find where I packed them.I create a lot of music with AI and quality isn't perfect.The flashing lights are cool. Radio picks up good reception. My favorite AM stations come in good. Mp3s on cds work well. Usb containing mp3s work well. Make sure the thumb drive is formatted I believe fat32. Ntfs it won't read. I doubt I will use the Bluetooth. But it's good it has that capability. Only thing I wish it did was record to thumb drive as well. I have a mini $20 radio that can do that so why can't this be made to do it. I would give this 5 stars if it could record to thumb drive. Other than that, I am happy with this music station. If a model comes out with a little more power, a sub woofer, and usb recording, I would buy it in a heartbeat!Oh yeah, I had many boomboxes in the 80's. I am 60+ and I know ghetto blasters. Lol. I was actually excited unboxing this. Still young at heart.Oh! As detective Columbo always says "Oh! And one more thing! I really wish this thing had random song play. My little cheapie radio/mp3 playing devices do it. 🫤

I was on the fence about getting this since I was not familiar with the brand -- but I loved the look. I wanted AM/FM, CD, cassette, USB and Bluetooth in/out with decent speakers for a fair price. This was exactly what I was looking for and am so happy I took a chance. The sound is excellent. All features worked perfectly. I highly recommend!

The CD player does not work. The buttons are pretty janky. The cheap plastic piece that adjusts the settings does not work well. When it is on the CD setting it does not acknowledge the CD player. You have to play with it for awhile and get it to balance between two setting spots to get it to go into the CD player setting. Then while playing a CD it will take itself out of the CD setting.It looks great. The sound is decent. The lights are cool. Just don't buy this if you have any desire to be able to play a CD on it.

I was skeptical because of all the nay sayers in the review section. This boombox is absolutely awesome! The radio, cd, tape, and Bluetooth all work great! The speakers are loud enough and sound great! I think some people are thinking they’ll be getting Sonos speakers when they buy this but that’s not the case. I have turned the volume to 50% on radio and its extremely loud, but clear! I absolutely love the design! It has that nostalgic look of an old boombox! I will be buying a couple of these during Christmas this year for my family members! Awesome gadget! 10/10
