Clean package and correct size

The product looks as in the image and no doubt it is strong also and is supplied with 2 tightening clips also. It was observed that while inserting the tube to the regulator the tube got inserted easily. As the clips was provided I thought it was ok and fixed the tube with clips also. Now, we experience GAS smell whenever the regulator is made on. I suspect even with the clips in tight position whether the gas is leaking? The point to be noted is tube got inserted very easily may have some connection to gas smell.
